Any chance Coach Clark tries to get this guy on the staff, particularly as OC? Very good offensive coach and has been HC at West Alabama and West Georgia. ULL's head coach just got fired so Hall should be available.

Have I missed something? IS Koening leaving?
I would think Bryant Vincent might be a possibility to rejoin us if he and Coach Clark agree.
Since Bryant is already around here, my off the wall guess would be Bryant Vincent as next OC.
I'm not as anti Koening as some, but just throwing a name out there that would be an upgrade IMO.

I do agree that Clark really seems to like Vincent and would probably be interested in him as OC again at some point.

Haven't, Heard where Les Is gone. Normally they don't make adjustments until, won gets a wiff that one has left. If, Koening left, where did he go. If he did, I, trust Coach's Judgement, Probally, just talk, What's he going to do take the Head Coaching job at UNA. That's normally what happens when a offense Cordinator does so well, he wants his own program.

When they say UNA is going DI, is that FBS or FCS. I would think MemphisBlazer can answer this.

Well, Thank You Sir, That's good, remember the Bobby Wallace days before he went to Temple and resuricted that progam, I know they are tough up their in Yankee land. North Alabama. Be interesting if they can match what they, did back then, National Championships and all.
Any way any one find out where Les is going.
Koenning was unemployed when we hired him, so I doubt if anybody is trying to steal him away.

Terry Bowden also passed through Florence on his way to Akron where he is now.
Why are we talking about replacing Koenning? Has someone heard something?

Probably just in their non-dry dreams.
I guess 8 wins just isn't enough for some people. 05-stirthepot
Could have been 9 or 10.
Hard to kick a guy to the curb that just set a record for most FBS wins and has us in a bowl. Now let me say that I am not crazy about the play calling either on offense for that matter but we have had some high power spread offenses that did not generate into wins for one reason or another.

I will say that they are playing to our strengths, we are down two guys at TE, big time running back, and we do not have a WR that can stretch a defense and oh I might add we are two plays from 10 wins and the opportunity of getting thumped by FAU this season. I dont think we would be sitting here with 8 wins trying to sling it all over the place.

I liked BV as well but I dare say no matter our OC we would be conservative any way this season.

As far as UNA to clear up the confusion, they will be FCS (Old IAA) in football and DI just like us in all other sports including basketball.
With all due respect, not disagreeing with the record that we have. We are 2 plays from 3 less losses and 2 more wins. I"ll take this win loss record any day of the year, we were picked to have 2 wins. And on Top of FAU they looked a lot like us the Blazers with the exception of 2 really good Big WR's Don't think we would of got swamped by them.

We have the wide receivers, Colin and Ubosi have been under utilized. The Cris Cross patterns have not been their and the TE has not been thrown to. Its kind of like Chicago not running Jordan but 13 teams, If you run Jordan under 20 runs he's going to have under 100 yards if you run him 22 to 27 runs he's going to have 100 to 150 yards. Their not running the correct number and correct amount of plays with the personell that is intact.

We are better in scoring defense and total defense than was the 2014 unit. We are also worse in scoring offense and total offense than we were in 2014. AttallaBlaze might be right, maybe we don't have the players to do what we want to do offensively. I've never been real crazy about these retread hires though.

I'd like to know how that works!
Maybe Florida played with ineligible players.
When it comes to hiring coaches, to quote an old coach -- During the season "You dance with the girl you brung". Between seasons, a HC can replace whoever he wishes with anyone he wishes. The "coaches carousel" does not just apply to HCs.
