Strange jump if true.

Been seeing the unofficial.... I don't get the move if it turns out to be true. Unless he just absolutely wants out for some reason. Don't know why he would though. He can win a championship at FSU, recruiting is not an issue either. Also, I believe he has a special needs son who still lives in Tally.

Texas A&M was offering $7.5m per year. I dont know if FSU was willing to match that number.
Not a good move if true for A&M.

Agreed. $7.5 mill for jimbo? I like him and think hes a pretty good coach. But he did just have a 5-6 win season with a team that won a national championship a couple years ago. Ive never considered him an elite coach. And yeah, if hes struggling in the acc, hes gonna have it a lot tougher in the sec. Hell, if i were fsu i wouldn't get in too much of a battle for him, thats for sure. Fsu is a damn good gig. They wont have any problem getting a top coach.
FSU is a great gig. The one thing they have always needed even with Bowden, IMHO, is better discipline.
7.5 mill......holy crap.
I mean he lost a QB and the whole season falls apart. How many did Urban Meyer lose at OSU and still won a national title?
He recruits the south really well and has a national championship there. I don't think there's any questioning his credentials. I just question his decision to jump.....to the SEC West no less. Love it or hate it, it's the toughest division in college football. By far.

The original numbers (something like 32M over 5 years) was from a tweet of a fake account someone created impersonating a reporter. Not saying it won't or can't happen but the original story was false. Might be Jimbo's folks drumming up more money from FSU.
I remember Jimbo Fisher's name was thrown around before the Fedora hire.

Son sees a doctor in Houston, so that could be a driver. Also lot of bad baggage at FSU with his wife and a former player. May just be a perfect time for a new start.

That aaaaannnndddd $7 mill a year......
I think it was her personal trainer, not a player, but that's not neither here nor there.

This money stuff is out of hand though. Seriously, Hop is the lowest paid coach in CUSA at what like 500k.
Buzz is that it's a 10 year deal for $75 mil

that puts southern miss in the category of offering the same amt. for a 100 yr. contract.....

oh boy......

**** the SuC biatches, esPenis, and everything that has happened due to their binge/purge knightly overindulgence.......

at this point, we're nothing but the puss that is discharged out of that cyst on their arse....not implying we weren't in the past.....simply stating our days previous fun has basically come to an end.....

like anything in life.........gotta die sometime.....

it's been one helluva fun ride......
Now Florida State faces its first real coaching search in 40 years. Remember that Jimbo was "coach-in-waiting" when Bobby Bowden retired.

Interestingly and quite possibly not coincidentally, he was given that title between us pushing out Bower and hiring Fedora.
