Looks like there is no TV for these games unless you sign up and pay for them. Any one have the information on this?
Call me a grumpy old man, but other than a nice trip for the players and staff, I just don't see the benefit of playing in this tournament. We could have just scheduled Buffalo and UAB and taken the money to ship everyone down to the Cayman's for a week to pay for the buy game. I'm sure we could have worked out a home and home with Iowa or someone of similar quality.
FWIW, looks like the Holy Grail will have the games on their TV

We will have these games on the big screens! (As long as their streaming works)

Quote:The Bottom Line:
Your ticket is College Sports Live. Go to the website, open an account, and pay $9.95 for the month. Cancel it when you’re done. It’s owned by CBS, so it’s a legitimate website. It’s the cleanest way to watch these games. Win or lose, Cincinnati will be playing three times. If you really care about watching the ‘Cats, you’ll pay $3.32 per game for an account. That’s less than a beer at the bar. Just do it. It’s annoying, but not really that big of a deal. (College Sports Live has apps available for iPhone, iPod, iPad, the Google Play Store, and Roku.)

Also, Brian Fox of Bearcats Sports Radio seems to be hosting watch parties tomorrow and Wednesday. He has asked anyone interested to send him a direct message through Twitter for details.

Okay, I’ve heard from some of you. For the rest, DM me if you’re interested in stopping by Tuesday night. If enough are interested, I shall host a tropically themed watch party.

I believe this was scheduled to take advantage of the NCAA rule which allows a couple extra games per season if they're played in these tournaments. Otherwise, I would agree wholeheartedly.

Count me in as another grumpy old man that UC is in a tournament Thanksgiving week with no reasonable viewing option. My hope is this season will be a real turning point and the better tournaments will find slots for UC next season if this squad stays ranked, wins the conference and makes a deep run. Maui (and others) will want Cincinnati in the mix and fans will increasingly consider basketball road trips.
Usually around the time these tournaments get played they'll announce next years fields. Hopefully the momentum we've picked up with non conference scheduling continues and we end up in a quality event next year. Honestly $10 doesn't bother me and the app is available on Roku so i dont have to mess around with HDMI cords.
Sounds pretty mickey mouse tournament to me. I can't remember the last time we were in a early season legitimate tournament. Can't complain too much, as I think Mick has been doing a better job addressing the schedule.
This is disappointing...I feel as though we're going to be missing a couple of fun games against teams that will probably turn into quality wins in Buffalo, UAB, and Iowa. The former two are predicted to compete for their leagues and Iowa will likely be a 20-22 win team this year.

OH well, I guess it's par for the course. These are the equivalent of bowl games in college basketball, and they aren't going away as long as there's even a dollar to be made from them.
Pump the breaks a little talking about an Iowa matchup. Down 25-11 6 minutes to go in the first half.
I don't know man, looks like Louisiana might beat Iowa like the red-headed stepson of a rented mule.
27-11 first half.

Words can't express how bad Iowa looks in this game.
They'd look better if they weren't 0-fer from 3.
Regardless, it's all the better we avoid them then.

Literally every aspect of that broadcast is worse that our local sports station up here.
Look for Iowa to shoot 12- 15 from 3 vs us, and some floppy headed farm boy to drop 30 on us.

They're going to have to do that in the second half today if they want to play UC (hopefully).

Watching on ROCU, not too bad a picture, can back it up or fast forward, no extra charge
I was looking at UL-Lafayette's schedule for this year, they lost to Ole Miss but have averaged 114 points a game the past two games. A few days ago they beat Savannah State 115-82.

kenpom has them 111 (obviously a lot of that is still weighted projection), but it's certainly a team that could end up as an RPI top 100 team. Honestly, whoever comes out of that side of the bracket will be a fairly solid team. No amazing games but these aren't bottom feeder cupcakes either in this tournament.
