Cavman has brought the Hooville Voodoo down to Coral Gables. Up 14-0 already and looks like they'll recover an onside after review.
Miami and Virginia Tech both need to STOP MESSING AROUND!

This one is over. UVA performed very well. Their qb is a stud.. But Miami defense smells blood in the water and has tightened up. The final score will in no way be indicative of how close this game was into the 4th.
Very little defense so far in the GT@Duke game. 4 possession total, 14-10 GT lead
GT: Defense can't stop a pack of girl scouts in the opposing team's uniforms. Special teams still short-bus special. I guess I should be happy it's only tied at the half.
In the past four years GT is:

1-3 against Duke (I'm assuming GT keeps shitting the bed today)
1-3 against UNC
1-3 against Clemson
1-3 against Miami
3-1 against VT
2-1 against UGA (is there any doubt it'll be 2-2 after next week?)
2-2 against Pitt
2-2 against UVA

VT should be embarrassed.

Oddly enough this includes an 11-3 season, a 3-9 season, a 9-4 season, and the current 5-5 season.

Paul Johnson has definitely lost his edge against regular opponents.
Yet another weekend better spent not watching Georgia Tech football.

Against irregular opponents:
4-0 against the rotation ACC Atlantic opponent (NCSU, FSU, BC, WF)
4-0 against FCS
2-0 in bowl games (didn't go in 2015)
4-0 against G5 opponent (Ga Southern twice, Tulane twice) *UCF cancelled this year
1-2 against P5 non-conference opponents (ND 2015, Vandy 2016, Tennessee 2017)

This once proud program sure feels like we're slipping further and further behind.
Georgia Tech, barring a massive upset next Saturday, will miss a bowl with a 5-6 season. Only one game away from a bowl, they have losses to a team that is 0-7 in the SEC, a Duke club that had lost 6 straight before today, and a UVA team who's only win was against the Yellow Jackets among a 1-5 finish to the year...unless they upset VT. Unbelievably frustrating for fans.

But a win against UGA and all is forgiven.

Sounds like a"giant killer" mentality.
= coaches don't get players motivated to play every week.
Maybe Johnson isn't the best motivator?

As for Hokie fans, I can tell you it is embarrassing to lose to GT this season. I'm more than a little concerned about the Virginia game now.

Finally... Let rivalry week begin!
Remember when all the posters from the new schools ragged on Wake Forest?

F*** that. Roof can shut out UGAg and he should still be fired immediately. Ready for DC #4 in a decade. Perhaps the problem with the triple option isn't the offense itself ... but the ability to find somebody willing to be a defensive coordinator in the same house who is worth a damn.
What a rivalry we have this week! Miami vs Pitt, a thriller!

Has to be challenging trying to put together a scout team made up of players not recruited to run the offense they are supposed to be recreating.

The last 2 times Pitt has played #2, we have pulled the upset. I don't expect it tomorrow, but stranger things have happened.

Unfortunately, Pitt has been playing like #2 a lot lately.

We are very young this year. It has shown.

And it showed yesterday in a positive way. You have to love it when a team with "nothing to play for" finds something to play for. In the long run, character matters, and Pitt showed theirs. 04-cheers
