WMU vs Appalachian State
Myrtle Beach, S.C.
TV: ESPNU Radio: Bronco Radio Network
Let's hope the Broncos shoot the ball better today and pick up a win and get another national TV game on Sunday.
There's the Reggie Jones we need.
Appreciate any updates and comments during the game.

We have three grandsons over, and I can only sneak away from time to time.

Also, we don't have ESPNU in our package.

Thank you!!
40-40 at halftime
Good start to the second half. Broncos on a 9-0 run, up 49-40 at the first media. Wilder turning it on and defense forcing ASU into a lot of long looks.
This is the best sequence of defense this team has played yet this year. Forcing ASU to be a jump-shooting team and not giving up a lot of clean looks right now.

WMU 53, ASU 40, about 13:30 to play.
WMU up 64-53 with just under 8 minutes to play. Only five turnovers for Broncos tonight.
Thanks, guys.

Just got away for a minute.

Who looks good for the Broncos?
WMU 86, ASU 67 final.

Mature and impressive second half performance to take control and close out the win. Defense locked down to limit good looks and Wilder took over offensively. Moore, Davis and Johnson also very good tonight.

Will be interesting to see if Davis for Jones in the starting lineup is permanent. The shooting numbers won't say so, but Jones was better off the bench today and made some nice plays late in the first half.

Rematch with South Carolina coming Sunday.

Wilder with 31- Moore with 14
Thank you, everyone.

GO BRONCOS ~ now back to the grandsons whom, by the way, have watched a lot of Bronco athletics with their Dads and Grampy.
Getting back to a view of mine regarding our post play, how's josh looking ???
He just isn't much of a presence in the middle, especially for a guy over 7'0"
We really have no post up game....I'm happy he's a Bronco...but, at this point in time, there are limitations to his game...

I'm guessing you mean Dugan. I don't know whether it's lack of confidence or something else, but he just doesn't play aggressive. He did have one nice short jump hook last night, but committed four fouls and only grabbed three rebounds in 18 minutes. I don't remember him making any sort of impact defensively.

He and LaMont are frustrating to watch. Each tend to pick up fouls really quickly and can be counted on for at least one moving screen foul apiece offensively every game. I know Hawkins praises LaMont for his ability to talk defensively, but he has serious limitations one on one. Dugan definitely has offensive skill though and I'm hoping he either gains the confidence to use it more, or gains the trust of the coaching staff to be featured more.

I'd love to see a Moore-Wilder-Davis-Jones-Johnson small ball lineup in short spurts.
I think the "small ball" lineup you're looking for (or maybe a slightly different variation of it) was on the floor for a good stretch during the Siena Heights game and I remember saying to my buddy that this lineup looks really good. Different competition I know but I thinks it's something you will see periodically this year. Would be a great look at times.
Both Dugan and LaMont always come on slow every season. Give them time. LaMont in particular always plays his best ball down the stretch in MAC play, he's a net asset trust me. And Dugan will be getting plenty of praise in this forum before the season is over with. Part of their function is to draw defenses away from our perimeter players and they do a good job at that, will do a better job as the season wears on.

PLEASE if you are going to comment about players atleast use their correct names. They are all listed in the game program and online.
FYI - “Josh” is not the Bronco 7 ft center. Josh Davis is about 6 inches shorter than that.
