Giancarlo Stanton was voted the NL MVP today, with 302 points to 300 for the runner-up, Joey Votto of Cincinnati. I believe that's the closest vote since 1979, when Keith Hernandez and Willie Stargell tied.
Altuve wins AL MVP. I was worried Judge was going to get it somehow but thankfully the voters realized homers aren't the only stat.

And, right on cue, Yankees fans are crying "foul." Now, remind me, what division did New York win this past season? Oh, that's right - they didn't. Stanton deserved his award because no one from a division winner was a reasonable candidate (the top 2 vote getters were from teams that did not make the playoffs).
