Dakich, shockingly, made a good point during the game-> coach K gets an unprecedented level of respect from officials. He can call them over whenever he wants during a game. I'm pretty sure the official in question was actually the same one who missed the block by Trevon Scott (I'm too lazy to check). Kinda explains why Mick was so livid about it both during and after the game.

I think I read that the official came over to Mick to apologize for missing the call. How often does that happen?
Duke and Texas Tech both lost....

both ranked in front of UC

Cats have a chance to do something if they beat Tulane and WSU

Nope TT was #12 so it gets them off our tail.

my bad...that's odd. I could have sworn the score I saw had a 6 by their name. But I just looked and yeah, they are 12.

Its a lose Im happy with none the less.

12 is divisable by 6, so an understandable error. I'm just glad the Bearcats are ranked 5th.
Duke lost....wonder what they will drop to. Bet they drop like two slots and Va Tech will now go from unranked to #15

Not very. Mick wasn't having it in the post game, though. He made the point that he doesn't get to apologize to the fans for a loss, so he cared little about an apology from the stripes.

I guess it only happens when only one person including the TV viewers didn't think it was a clean block even before the replay. I think it happens other times but is done more on the down low.

It was pretty clear from the telecast for any lip-readers out there that the ref told him he screwed up. Mick's response was classic.
We were on the good end of a classic 50-50 charge/block call the next possession as a make-up.
The thing that kind of got lost in the missed call on Scott's block is how great a play it was. That was a big time block, and the miss got more attention than the play.

But still couldn't offset the Tech that mick got from the blown call.

True, but that's how it seems to work.

GREAT play. ELITE play.

Love Scott's tenacity. He and Brooks are going to make FINE Bearcats. People need to step off.
UNC and Auburn both down big. Losses from both would benefit us.
I think UNC is overrated. Duke too.
