Calentucky and Kansas in dogfights. Both trail Tennessee and TCU respectively 2ND.
Wyoming beats Boise St in OT.
X, Duke and UK all take L’s today. Good day.
10-17 All lost this week. Just win baby!

That’s a crazy week.
Temple has fallen off a cliff. They have lost five in a row and are the only winless team in the AAC (0-4) outside of USF.

Temple (7-8) 39
UCF (12-4) 60
WSU about 30 point favorites at home over USF. That could get fugly...

Just can't afford to lose to them when they come up to Kentucky.
It's a shame too, given that they have OOC wins that are really good.
Lots of parity going on in college ball. Duke goes down to NC State last night and Ohio state somehow up by 23 over Sparty right now.

Ohio State is likely going to crush us next season.

Gary and Kyle will be huge losses for sure-- we don't have the replacements on this roster. If Evans enters the draft the entire season will be dicey.

As much as I hate to say it, that school up north appears to have made a great hire to replace Matta. UC will have holes to fill next season. Could a deep tournament run grab the attention of some blue chip frontline players? Sure hope so.

But, that's a long way off in my mind and we can only hope that all the changes in Fifth Third don't dampen the reverberation. It's got to be one of the loudest and most intimidating venues in college basketball and will provide a much needed "sixth man" next season when the scarlet and gray roll into town.
Meh. If Ohio State was down or in rebuilding/retooling mode then everyone would say what did you expect to happen if we beat them. I hope they're good when we play them but be careful putting too much stock in the upset win over Michigan St. That was a home game too. They've beaten Wisky and Iowa - so have a lot of other teams - and they beat Michigan at home.
I'm not worried about Evans leaving. Williams and Moore will improve, but it is true that our starting front court is presently at an elite or near elite level. I think we'll get decent play out of the 5 spot. They probably won't be as offensively gifted as Kyle Washington, but they can certainly hold their own imo. My question is the four. I think Diarra could be pretty good before he leaves, but next season will depend on how much Scott wants to work this off season.

I see no reason to think we won't be competitive in that game, but I can certainly understand the apprehension. Clark, Washington and Evans are exceptional.

Agreed. We have zero quality big men in line to replace Gary and Kyle. Going from those two to guys like Scott and Brooks is a monumental drop off. What's odd is it appears they are targeting more of a SG/Wing with the last scholarship instead of a big who can come in and play right away.
Honestly, if Evans stays I think you'll see UC play a lot of small ball next season. UC's wings are long and athletic. You can get away with Williams/Evans/Jake guarding the 4 against most teams (or hell playing matchup zone and keeping the big in the middle). Depending on how Williams/Moore develop that could still be a really fun, good team. You don't have to play true big men in this day and age and I think we have enough size and athleticism to get something out of the 5. Don't get too worried yet.

I really wonder how many OSU games you've watched if you have that mentality and we have our guards coming back. Bates-Diop should go NBA after this season if he has any sense, and they've got NOTHING on the back end outside of Kaleb Wesson (who did put up one of the craziest stat-lines I've seen in a HS game in awhile last year). They are extremely light on roster talent, but their coaching is stellar, and the Big Ten is god awful outside of MSU and Purdue, so they'll look better than they probably are.

We will definitely feel the loss of the bigs and I can see us playing 2 bigs and also going 4 guards a good bit. Cumberland and Evans are both big guards that can go inside some. I still think we will be fine, but won't have as much upside as this year's squad, mainly due to Clark and his versatility.

I am fairly sure that Tate of tosu is a senior this year. He is the glue that holds them together. Arguably, he is their best player even though he doesn't put up the best stat lines.
