We're fortunate to lock him into a longer contract. Great work by the AD.

This is terrific...Ed is a great coach and respected by one and all. He will win a CAA title sooner rather than later.
Excellent! I met Coach Swanson at a Tribe function about a month ago and came away very impressed by him. I was already impressed by the turnaround of the team during his short time in the 'Burg.
Congratulation, too, to Samantha Huge. I may be incorrect, but, for as long as I can remember, this is the first time an official announcement about a coach's contract extension has ever been made at William & Mary...certainly in recent history.
Didn't know where to put this but I got to go to the women's opener tonight at Howard. We look great. Very fast and moving to the ball on defense. The refs are calling every infraction they can think of so its mostly a free throw shooting contest but we're on pace for 100.

Beat Howard 83-71. Bianca Biggs led the charge with 26 pts.

You weren't kidding about free throws. We were 27-43 from the line while they were 14-33 from the line and that was the big difference. Surprisingly enough, only 1 person fouled out (from Howard)
Nice start for the ladies. This sets up an interesting scenario. Who will make the NCAA's first, the Men or the Women?? (still probably a couple years away for either, but, hey...)

Little known fact: Of the original D-1 schools, only 3 have never made EITHER of the NCAA Tournaments, W&M, St. Francis (NY) and the Citadel. Now, the Citadel has a legitimate excuse, they don't HAVE a Women's Team (never have), so they get a pass. St. Francis (NY) has gotten close each of the last two seasons, so maybe, we get off THIS list, if Ed's teams continue to improve.
