looks like 6 wins will get us in after all.. i could easily see us in the bham bowl..
C-USA could end up in the Birmingham Bowl, Frisco Bowl, Quick Lane Bowl, and Independence Bowl.

You put a UAB vs SC in Birmingham and I bet we top 50K. Would not hurt my feelings to get another shot at Vandy.

I'll just be happy to go anywhere but what a nice bookend to finish the year of #theReturn in Legion in front of a huge crowd.
The Bahamas wouldn't be ideal for the fan base but it would be a helluva reward for the players and coaches. Birmingham would be ideal for the fan base but is that a reward for the players and coaches? Interesting debate.
Playing any game after 2014 is a huge reward for the fan base. Playing any game in December is a huge reward for all! Especially after a 2 year death penalty.
for the players sake, they need to end up somewhere outside of Birmingham.
i just hope we dont pull a La tech from 2012 or 13 and try to wait for a good bowl and end up not going to a bowl because we waiting too long to answer the invite. .
You don't think UAB vs. an SEC team at Legion Field in front a giant crowd would be a reward for the players? I guarantee you they would be thrilled with that.

I think it depends on the SEC team. If its AU or another team that travels well, I would be afraid it wouldn't feel like the fan base is there to see the home team.

Game day would be exciting. The week before the bowl game - which, obviously, is a big part of bowl games for players - not so much. You often hear players talk about bowl trips. Playing in Birmingham wouldn't be a trip. It would also be the 7th game at Legion Field this season for the players. Would it feel like a bowl game? Hard to answer that.

I think the players would be thrilled to play in ANY bowl game. But I think the players deserve to travel somewhere.

If Clark makes the decision, you don't have to worry about it.

If doughboy or Mr. Personality have to make the decision it is possible.
Playing Auburn at Legion would possibly turn the wheels for future regular season encounters with them.

Auburn being a top 20-25 team shouldn't land in b'ham. More like a bottom dweller that cannibalizes the rest to get bowl eligible, will end up in b'ham that's just my opinion.
Haven't scouted the SEC standings in over 3 years so I couldn't guess.

In general, playing any of them anywhere would be great this year.

Playing them in the ham would create a buzz.
could be a florida rematch..

Yeah, Auburn won't be in Bham this year. If SEC has enough teams to fill down that far (and that's a big if), it will be a Vandy or a Tennessee at 6-6.
UAB in Birmingham Bowl. Sell out Legion. A nice middle finger to the BoT and the nay sayers.

I'm not sure selling out Legion Field is a middle finger to the BoT as much as it would be an excuse for why they don't need to support UAB playing in a new stadium.
UT getting to bowl eligibility may be doubtful, could go either way at this point. I'm all for a Birmingham Bowl matchup vs. an SEC team. New Orleans would be my preference, but I think they take LA Tech or Southern Miss if they have the opportunity. I think the Armed Forces bowl vs. Army in Fort Worth would be great as well.
