This dude would be a great get. I like that he played on same AAU team with Tyler Harris over the summer. I heard that he only has one official visit lined up, and that’s with us.
This is Tubby's 2nd shot at taking advantage of momentum to recruit, with the first being when he was hired.
I thought he was here for the UCLA game ?

He's had some unofficials - including UCLA.
Can the Dude bust a Trey

Was Larry Bird good?
Has also said he's going to wait until spring to commit. Not good for us. Maybe Tubby and his strong recruiters can put him to make his commitment to us earlier. Maybe not. We'll see. He's a must get if you miss on Harris and Lomax.
The ones waiting till Spring will get to see what kind of team we have.
And pick up offers from more programs . . . thus making it a tougher decision.

You guys are something else...I bet you're a blast at parties...
Bench I'm serious tho, him picking up more offers won't help us. It wouldn't help any team recruiting him, didn't mean for it to seem like a knock against us.
It's a big issue if Tyler, and Woodard to a lesser extent, wait 'til spring to sign. Tyler is up to 67 in one national ranking. Top hoops schools might have an interest in Tyler today, but see early signing in 3 weeks, and figure they can't make up the ground on Memphis and Iowa State in such a short time frame, so spend their time on other guys.

But if he doesn't commit early, they have months to make up ground, while Memphis and Iowa State had already made their best pitch to close Tyler, and now have to play defense for months.

We need him to commit now.
Alabama is the biggest threat here. If I had to guess his top 3 is Bama, MSU, Memphis.

I was on the Mississippi State campus with my son on Monday for their Fall Preview.

Just interesting how little play the hoops program gets. In the prepared videos, lots of talk about the football team, with pictures and clips going back 100 years. How the head coach in the 30s drove to Memphis and bought the first bulldog mascot. And of course the stadium is right there at the entrance to the school, which is pretty cool. And must have heard 10 times about how the baseball team has the 10 biggest attendance games in NCAA history. Did not hear word one about the men's basketball team.
I’m hearing RW’s visit is going well.

no offense, but don't all these visits reportedly "go well" regardless of school or player

I wouldn’t know. I thought I’d post something I heard. You can take it how you want.
Will be nice when a visit goes well and a commitment comes shortly thereafter.
maybe Woodard and Harris will be the next Penny/Vaughn, Turner/Lee, or Finch/Robinson. One can dream.
