This school gets more pub than our entire conference.
Someone posted that one of the executives of the show is a JMU alum. No clue if that's correct of if it has any impact on their decisions.

Well, they did win a national championship last year. That helps.

Depending on how high on the food chain the exec is it would have a definitive impact. Especially if they are the type that thinks their ship don’t stink and everything they do is great. So naturally they would think that the 130 1-A schools would give two ships about a 1-AA.

There’s no way in this day and age that any real college football fan thinks there’s 130 programs more nationally relevant than a recent FCS National Champion. Also, JMU isn’t too shabby on the academic side either

I didn’t say “nationally relevant”. On that topic don’t fool yourself into thinking that your garden variety college football fan cares about 1-AA National Championships. They are awesome as Marshall won their fair share and played for even more but when it comes down to it they are 1-AA and most don’t care if they even know at all.

That’s not a slam on Ben Franklin either.
Lol

Don’t hate us because we’re smart AND look good on TV.

I'm a hug fan of FCS football, in my opinion it's the way college football should be played and champions decided, not the money grab FBS cartel BS. And I have nothing but respect for programs like James Madison, South Dakota State, Eastern Washington and closer to home the dynasties that were App State and Georgia Southern in past years. At least on the FCS level you have a decisive goal to play for. Unlike the redheaded G-5's, where we might get a little bit more national media coverage but at the end of the day, a great season only gets you an extra game in an "attaboy" bowl game played before Capital One Bowl Week.
Because he looks good in a wig?
Pros:
- Best at what they do
- Got their "P6" win this year
- They love dogs
- Bigtime keyboard army

In-between:
- Lopsided stadium, but still larger than ours

Cons:
- They wear purple
- Mascot are Dukes, which means 2nd best (highest rank below Monarch)
- Obsessed with small ponds, despite being too big for it.

Nothing wrong with wearing purple.

That's right, it's 2017. You people deserve the same rights as everyone else.

Hütz said in an interview, "It's one of the very few songs I wrote for a girl. I just moved in with my girlfriend in New York. We had a neighbour: an old woman who was always dressed in purple head to toe. She was clearly bonkers. So whenever my girlfriend and I had an argument and she would start screaming at me, I would say: you might as well start wearing purple now".

So, if you're proud of wearing purple, you may just be insane.

For some reason they're(JMU) obsessed with us. They made a game thread so they could talk about our game with Louisiana Thursday... I don't understand....

What's to understand? You hired away their coach, simple as that.

I don't know why they would have any animosity as it looks like it was the best thing that could have happened to them. Houston is crushing it for them.
