Should all be in the sunbelt

boot out Little Rock and University of Texas at Arlington unless they start football
It seems like they can't help themselves, just compare them to ULM the whole thread.
Plus we need to add Hawaii.

Have then explain the why they didn’t go to the Indy Bowl it makes perfect sense.

Oh this thread is going to go over like a lead balloon in Ruston.

Trust me. A lead balloon would be the talk of the town in that place. Not much there.
My thoughts on LA Tech:

Pro:
They could compete.
Easy trip for a lot of us.

Con:
Small budget
Already have 2 teams in LA
Ruston is less attractive than any town in the SBC save maybe Troy.
The attitudes of a lot of their fans.

I would take them but there are several others that fit the bill just as well or better.
La Tech fans only come around when the subject matter has nothing to do with them. When you put a question directly to them, they won't respond. So . . . moving forward, mention La Tech in every thread title and we can avoid the trolls. Besides, if they were in the conference, fans and teams would have to pack some of those disposible toilet seat covers to avoid contracting VD when traveling to Ruston.

They have a small man complex! When in fact they are 5th best university in the state of Louisiana. I don't think I need to name the 4 above them. Also Ruston is the bestest most awesomeness town in Louisiana maybe the world.
Yall are waiting for Tech fans like

Traveled thru there several years ago and was completely underwhelmed.

I'm probably biased because I was born and raised in Ruston but it's a nice little college town! Kinda like a mini Hattiesburg.

Hattiesburg is already a mini college town so what does that make Rust-town? 03-lmfao

(Of course I'm saying all this sarcastically because Statesboro is only a little larger than Ruston, about the same size as Hattiesburg actually)
I drove through Ruston once...true story
I moved away from Ruston in 2001 so a lot has changed, but I do go back every year to visit family. I probably just have a nostalgic remembrance of growing up there, so my opinion is skewed.

From my visits there since I moved, I see the downtown area of Ruston has gotten a lot nicer and has a cool small town vibe to it. Lincoln Parish Park just outside the northern city limits is a nice park with 10 miles of mountain biking trails, camping, and a lake. If you just "drive through" Ruston, you're likely on I-20 and not seeing much of the town. I wouldn't ever want to move back because it's too small of a town for my liking, but I love visiting for a weekend. Also Ruston has good peaches, watermelons and pecans...so there's that.
