If both were/are 100% that is. We all have our opinions on this. Arguments could be made either way.
IF IF IF Keon plays all year the way he played the 2nd half last Satdee, I'd go with him.

BUT

I still fear a fumble every time he is tackled.....and moving the ball well against UTEP won't be like moving the ball well against our tougher opponents.04-cheers
Whomever the coaches are comfortable with.
Have no loyalty to either in terms of who starts. At some point we must trust the coaches to do their job. Coaches see, hear, and know things the causal fan does not. Saying this, Howard sucked during first half of the Kentucky game, period. Last week he was serviceable; some giving him too much credit while other not enough. Griggs too has been serviceable; nothing outstanding..

In my opinion we’re in trouble not having a clear #1 midway into the season
Apparently, Howard is the better leader, worker, teammate, etc. Griggs is probably a little more polished as a QB at this point.

Go with the hot hand, and don't wait too long to pull the trigger if one is not performing.
Actually, I think that we are in pretty good shape with two QB' that can play...didn't have that last year.

How did you come to this conclusion?

The problem I have neither have displayed solid D1 QB qualities. IF both were studs and fighting it out that would be great. Imagine Nick Mullens vs Austin Davis in this scenario. Unfortunately this isn’t the case. Its like watching Bevis and Butthead in a school yard fight versus watching Ali vs Tyson.

Four games into the season, hopefully one will step-up and just take the job.
Howard is a good athlete but it shouldn't be difficult for a competent DC to gameplan against him and he has some major, major turnover issues.

It "shouldn't" matter much this week.

Fortunately that's all that's needed.

Just kind of what I have gathered 2nd hand from talking to people who are supposedly "in the know" who are usually right on the mark with what they tell me.
So, Howard gets the start and turns the ball over a bunch, do we take the shirt off of Marcelo? If not and we put Griggs in then, it was all about daddy ball all along.

Only if you're trying to win a SUNWACUSA game with an All County QB, so is that a yes?
