I don't know why this guy wasn't starting. This is going to be a tough game.

I agree. Great to face a tough MAC East team this year.
Maybe the Buffalo coach called Carey for advice on how to develop players.

How many yards would Huff have put up on BC?
WMU DBs did not look good in that video.
Hit him a few times and have him throw a few at 19 and see what happens
He has a great arm and accuracy, also has some great receivers.
He made some good throws, but there was a lot of blown coverages too. Now there is plenty of tape on this guy, so expect the Huskies defense to be ready for him.
He had all day to throw against WMU Saturday. Turns out that Buffalo has one of the best offensive lines in the nation. Did not know that going in and was stunned at how inept the usual decent pass rush of WMU was. Didn't touch the guy all day it seemed. Think the Buffalo offensive line is for real, big and cohesive. That said, the qb did have a few series where he was not very good, and many of these highlights are from overtime where he caught fire and two td's were from blown coverage's. WMU lost its best defensive back against MSU for the year, so there have been missed assignments that have been huge. I am very curious to watch the NIU Buffalo game.

Is WMU missing a couple D-linemen due to injury? Thought I read that somewhere.
Maybe WMU just isn’t that good this year.....

Best offensive lineman got banged up at USC. We lost a top defensive player Saturday, on the line, potentially for the season. The defense returned most players from last year and have played pretty tough. Losing the first ever 4 star recruit at safety has really allowed some big plays to pop up. That said, WMU was pretty healthy defensively going in to the Buffalo game. I think you will see what I mean when the Buffalo offense takes the field. Big strong dudes all the way across the front and the QB is very tall as well. Not sure if he can duplicate what he did in OT against WMU, but I will not be surprised if he has time to throw, they are pretty darn good up front. WMU pretty much shut down the run.
Can't take anything away from the QB but man those stats are misleading. 5 of his 8 TDs came in OT from the 25 yard line. He picked apart the WMU defense but WMU also looked insanely sloppy. Reminded me of the EMU-CMU game from 2008. Looked like an NFL offense vs. a JV defense on both sides. NIU has a solid defense and I think the new QB will struggle.
I am always secretly happy when Buffalo is good. They are my second favorite MAC school.

NIU is leading the nation in tackles for loss. I like our chances against a big strong O-line. Unless they are fast too. Our defense relies on speed and getting to the ball quickly.

Is that because they're not in the Ohio and Michigan group of schools and they have no real geographical MAC rivalries; kind of like NIU?

I little, yes. I am also very impressed with their academics.

(And I was there once in February and had to walk between building through a snow tunnel with 6ft high sides. That left an impression.)

Be honest, LS. What you really like is putting your arms around and warming up the frigid young ladies in the snow tunnel. I've heard reports about how you melted the snow in that tunnel. Shame on you! 04-jawdrop

QB has a funky motion, but accurate. Stood there like statue and just threw the ball.(Tom Brady) Is the starter coming back this week? or will we see Anderson.
