Wow, they're no fluke.
we'll know in the next 4 weeks. back to back games @ Notre Dame and home with Clemson. But really the FBS teams they've beaten- gone all of 11-8.
Dave Doeren probably saving his job this season.

Talking about the Wolfpack while the season is underway is tantamount to talking about a no hitter during the game. Everyone should just ignore N.C. State until they magically win the ACC.
At least we could beat them ... *SIGH*

Even if Florida State isn't great, they're still Florida State. They've had a tough schedule, so screw their record. Louisville is down but still solid.
Last time I remember NC State being this good was when they lost in triple overtime (?) to Ohio St around the time the Buckeyes won it all. Chuck Amato days.

Florida St and Louisville are no Notre Dame and Clemson. Not even remotely close.
Why do they have to be, they're still good teams. It's being inferred NC State has played no one, which isn't true.
Louisville is 4-2. They've beaten 2-2 Purdue, 1-5 UNC, 1-5 Kent St, and FCS Murray St. Color me unimpressed. Florida St lost their QB and was playing their first game in 3 weeks when they played NC State. FSU frankly will be lucky to go bowling- needs to beat all of Duke, BC, Syracuse- and then beat 1 of Louisville, Clemson, and Florida.
Doi, Louisville is down...they're still good. FSU may not be great but they've also had a tough schedule.
Louisville's played 2 teams with a pulse and is 0-2 getting outscored 46-86. Hardly what I would consider a good team....

FSU has had a tough schedule but NC State saw them at the absolute best possible time. 1st game in 3 weeks and 1st game with the new QB.
They have looked good at time and thoroughly average at times.

We will get an answer on them in due time.
Right now, I am just concerning about beating Pitt. Not worrying about these other teams until they are next on the list. NCSU does have a first rounder in Chubb. Maybe in Jaylan Samuels. The QB Finley will be in the NFL. Doreen has been building and getting solid classes. I still see the kicking game costing NCSU a game down the line. It cost State 2-3 games lst year.
This is the best group they have had in quite a while. They still have some work to do. Like many teams, NC State is prone to losing games they should win.

Bottom line, they deserve some credit but let's not put them in a NY6 just yet.
They go to Pitt next week and will be favored. How will they react? How will they play? If they win ...

then BYE week and then travel to Notre Dame. That's when we know for real. If they win that one ...

Carolinas AG Bowl for the defacto ACC title game.

Shouldn't be too hard - everyone's been pretty much ignoring NC State football for the last 25 years...

Yes, Clemson @ NC State will be a high stakes game, but not so fast on the "defacto ACC title game"... Miami/VT/GT all say "hi"!

It's actually called the Textile Bowl.

They can say hi all they want to. None will be on the level of the Clemson/NC St winner, should NC St prove itself further this season.

I'm not denying the name of the game, just want to emphasize that NC St and Clemson are the Carolinas agriculture colleges, who I always root for! 04-cheers

That's fair. It is such a little known thing I though I would throw it out there.
