I have been watching Toledo/EMU. The Eagles are legit. The MAC West is going to be a dog fight this season.
Obviously they're better than they were last year but I think we are light years better with our defense. Luckily we had Huff playing a lot last year andSanta will be a lot better than he was last year.
While it is CLEAR EMU is not an easy win by any stretch of the imagination, Toledo is playing without their starting RB and top WR.
Toledo not impressing me at all. (accept their attendance)

Toledo beat a good football team today. EMU beat Rutgers ( a below average MAC team) and hung tough with a decent to good Kentucky team. MAC West is brutal. NIU,EMU,CMU all beat P5 teams this year and are NOT even close to being a favorite.
EMU was hosed in Kentucky. I watched that game and the refs were pro Kentucky.
Good to see EMU coming back. The program was on a death watch not too long ago. MAC west it up for grabs.
Their coach is a miracle worker. Last year was their first winning season since 1995 and their first bowl game since 1987.
Yes, EMU is for real. I was sure of that after they gave Kentucky all they could handle. I was not very impressed with the win over Rutgers; it is Rutgers after all!
Think we will have our hands full with Buffalo. Their QB can get rid of the ball quickly and can stand tall in the pocket and throw the ball over the line. Our secondary should be able to make some plays but they'll make some plays too. Our offense needs to play well and our special teams needs to stop being stupid.

We looked like the Keystone cops on the blown kickoff today!

The Buffalo passing stats are nothing to write home about; I will take our D! Buffalo is more susceptible to being run on, which should factor into the starting QB.

The kid threw for nearly 600 yards today...
And 7 TDs...

4 of which were in OT. Therefore, he had the same number of TD passes as did Childers did today.

All offensive performances today have to be taken with grain of salt, playing in hurricane conditions is not easy.

Would love to see some wind kick up next week and wreak some havoc with Buffalo's pass game. They ran up 683 yds, a whopping 86 of them on the ground.

I watched the fourth quarter and all of the overtimes. Buffalo has some tall receivers that could be an issue. That buffalo QB was their backup. He was slinging it.

If our Defense takes care of business in Buffalo and the Offense limits turnovers, I think we are fine.
It worries me that they succeeded with the three step drop for chunk yardage consistently. Our secondary should be able to jump some of those passes but we'll see. I think we will see a heavy dose of quck short passes with their receivers being given a chance to run after the catch. We should be able to run on them and control the clock as well. But they're not going to run much and that's our defenses strength.

Rockets were without 4 starters:
DE Tuzar Skipper
RG Yazeed Atariwa
RB Terry Swanson
WR Cody Thompson(lost on first drive).
