Tom Petty, the rocker best known as the frontman of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, is dead at 66, CBS News has confirmed.
The legendary musician suffered a full cardiac arrest and was found unconscious and not breathing in his Malibu home Sunday night.

I was never a huge Heartbreakers fan, but I do respect the hell out of his talent, and songwriting ability. Love me some traveling wilburys though.
Another great musician is gone from us but his music lives on. RIP.
Saw him at Riverbend the summer I went off to college, and again at Red Rocks the year I moved away from Colorado. If I had to pick one person to write my soundtrack, it would have been Petty. RIP old friend.

Love petty. Hits big hits are mostly great but so is his other stuff. You get greasy 5 songs all the way through on multiple albums.
