Truth be told Southern Miss doesn't receive the support it deserves from Hattiesburg and surrounding communities. Some will criticize Brett for his comments but it's the truth and needs discussion. To fans defense, the administration has done little motivating involvement. Two way street thingy

speaking of - gonna be the worst attended game of the season today. with some wins though, it should slowly start to improve the rest of the year.

And where is Brett on home game day? Knoxville wearing orange....downing the school that gave him the chance. Thanks Brett. It's time you did 'something' for USM.

i don't see anything wrong with what he said. we don't know his situation and whats going on in his life as to why he's in TN today. could be business. could be pleasure. hunting? who cares? its not like he is gonna be a TN fan now and not pull for USM. he told the truth and was classy about the whole thing. had he not even mentioned USM, half the people on these boards would be crying about it and cussing him as being a traitor bc hes not in Hburg. he somehow gave a nod to USM while calling attention to our lack of fan support. some will say its hypocritical. maybe so...maybe not. perhaps it will light a fire under our administration (and fans?) to address the problem more / better.

a lot will depend on our record. sitting at 9-1 will bring people out. 6-4 might bring 15k.

I see we ain't the only ones pissssed about tonite's results

21k announced attendance. Then entire student section left at halftime with a 21-17 score. Favre is right. We have terrible fan support.
