Do you ever not ***** and complain?
Damn it.
The wife hates noon home games.
Perfect, I like the noon start once in a while. Nice crisp morning with the sun breaking through around 1030. UM/MSU at 8... there will be a good crowd... and a UT victory

Yes
I celebrate lots of great things this program does.
But I like you live out of town
And I go to Homecoming each year with friends that I pretty much only see on this day and one or two others each year and enjoy a tailgate and an adult beverage before the game

I have participated in the parade in the past. No idea how the parade will be done with a noon start

It just throws a monkey wrench in the day

Sorry expressing my disappointment on a fan discussion board

Well I'm going to complain......

I HATE noon kickoffs at home!!!!!!

Actually, no game should start in The Glass Bowl before 3:00 in the afternoon.

Besides it's for CBS sports network that hardly anyone has.....
So I guess if one person watches in New York, a few in Ohio and Michigan, and one in California.
That would be national TV.......

At least it's not noon on a Wednesday.

I have CBS sports network on my Direct TV sports package, and know of a lot of people that also have it ...Though I agree, HATE the noon kickoff ...01-wingedeagle
reminds me of the days waking up as a kid, getting through the important cartoons in time for the noon game. Reminds me of the college years, staggering (sleepy, not drunk) to the game and finishing in time to hit the rec and head back to the dorm for chow. Wash, rinse repeat with little kids but then, yeah kind of sucks. As far as UT though, I remember more listening to or watching B-Ball games, which were at night. Can't really recall exactly when I listened to the football games. Seems also to have been at night. When were those games held, back in the 60s and 70s?

The Homecoming parade will be very interesting due to, what could be a Guinness World Records record for all-time slowest EVER road reconstruction project--i.e. Bancroft St in front of University Hall. The west bound lanes will be completely shut down from Westwood to Campus during Homecoming. You've been warned.

I'm not confident it would make even the top ten slowest of PRESENT reconstructions, let alone all-time. If the orange barrels ever leave the 280-75 interchange, I'm sure I'll feel a personal loss. They're a fixture like the Art Museum, the Zoo, Opal Covey. Been there since I was a 60s child.
I wonder if they are still having the Fanfest party. Maybe after the game instead of before since it's so early?

Gotta have it before. Make it a party no what the time, but there has to be a pregame tailgate party.
The construction is completely altering the traditional parade route. The 8 am start time blows. We usually have fun tailgating and doing the parade. With kids AM soccer, we hope to get to the game by the 2nd quarter. Homecoming won't be the same this year.

Does anyone up there get any channels? Still on 2 thru 13 cable? Every game that's not featured on ESPN/ESPN2 people get all pissy about.

I've been able to watch every Rockets game that was broadcast for several seasons now. With a Roku/Roku TV, and DirecTV (and Dish the last two seasons), I've never had an issue.

2 through 13? People get ELEVEN channels? I guess I need to turn the rabbit ears more northerly and wrap some more tinfoil around the nodes!

It's the fact that they are messing with the start time and what days of games. I'd feel the same about ESPN......

Toledo plays Saturday night in The Glass Bowl......
