Full Version: Am I the only one who can't stand the blasting music during intervals in the game?

Bring back the BMB, the disc jockey crap is tiresome and irritating. Maybe I'm just an old codger, but this is progress? Not in my book.

Come on Phil, the last time you were at a game Gary Darnell was recruiting players from Fiji. 05-nono
You old buzzard, you're as ancient as me. And I was at two games last season at Waldo, watched the rest of them on the boob tube.

Say Hi to your better half for me, she rounds off your rough edges.
Honestly I think it needs to be a cohesive combination of both canned music and BMB. I believe there was an BMB alum here discussing how its nice for the band to have those breaks to be able to enjoy the atmosphere and not be continuously playing throughout the game... not to mention wearing out... trust me as an ex-trumpet toting marching band member of another schools band you can wear out playing for that long ... especially during a blowout when you have to play the fight song excessively!

As we all get older those college kids keep staying the same age... and honestly its best to create an environment that caters to them as much as us... and the University is actually doing work to continue to make the game day atmosphere as entertaining as possible in all aspects of the event... My seats are right below the speakers in the Seelye endzone and ITS LOUD... but it doesn't totally bother me... its part of the atmosphere of game day!

GO BRONCOS!

It's TOO LOUD. But whatever floats your boat. At the end of the day it's about getting fans in the stands, if this does it who am I to argue otherwise? Be interesting for someone to do a business case to see if the DJ brings in more folks than he/she drives away?

Would it detract at all if they just turned it down from 11 back to 10 on the volume dial... doubt it... I would support taking it down a notch but the volume also gets the players pumped up too...
Is the DJ still there, I think it's coming from press box this season. Yes, way too loud. Saw some older folks sitting endzone Seelye side moving for cover or too save their hearing

There is less urgency to the whole atmosphere then we got used to.

At MSU a couple weeks ago, every sound, every moment was intentional and right on time.

I've never thought WMU knows who to use it's $2M video board. I attended seven different College venues last year and we are a bit mickey mouse in that department. WMU is the only school that doesn't update other college scores live for instance. Isn't the Saturday experience supposed to encompass CFB as a whole? Our on field presentations seem to center on in-house items. MSU, Ill, CMU and even Jerry World present a lot of community pride info, etc. We focus on goofy fan dancing, kids playing on the hill. Maybe it's just me?
I really wish they would provide conference scores during games. Either on the scoreboard from time to time, or announced over the PA. Would be a good use for the scoreboard between periods.
