Only way NIU can keep this close and have a shot to win is if NIU DOES NOT rely on its defense to keep it close. The offense has to treat a 0-0 game like it is down by 2 scores, treat every offensive possession like it is critical from the ONSET, not when you are down by 21. Please Huskies, VALUE offense, it is important.
Looks like some Huskie money is coming in, probably for the injury factory you mentioned, A line that was 14-14.5 is now at 13-14.
One thing going against NIU is that the whole looking past to next week is probably out the window. A close game at Arkansas St was enough to get their fans antsy, and then giving up 42 to Oregon, the pressure is on for Nebraska to have a strong showing this week, not just to win, but to win handily. NIU needs to come out fast in this game and get a lead, amplify any Husker doubts early.

Last year, the players chose the uniforms. So who is doing it this year? STF? RC? Or, did we hire a fashion consultant?
