FIU's week 3 game against Indiana has been "deferred to a later date..."

Which apparently means the game won't be played in 2017.

FIU cancelled all athletic events through Sunday. This hurricane has not only removed the home opener, but now we lose another game altogether. Sucks.
UCF and USF have cancelled their games too. I wonder if the NCAA might change its bowl eligibility rules this year as a lot of teams might end up playing only 10 or 11 games this season?

Teams with one game lost due to weather in past years have been eligible for a waiver to be bowl-eligible if they finished at least 5-6.

Teams with two games lost to weather should probably need to go 5-5 because 4-6 would be a stretch for bowl eligibility.

This issue will probably need to be resolved by the appropriate NCAA committees before the end of the season.

Assuming USF can win out, this could affect their access bowl bid.
Looks like FIU will be playing UMASS. http://www.umassathletics.com/news/2017/...dules.aspx
