Game moved because of Irma, per twitter.
At the Old Grey Lady, she can dance I Presume. She has a a lot of History and Games Played should be no problem, She's gotta few games left in her.
I might be game to go..... Depends upon start time of course. I would hope it would be a night game.
Everything I can find says it will be rescheduled. I haven't found anything about it being in Birmingham, nor Friday.
Ingram said on TV this morning that he offered the game and, if they wanted to play it, he would get with the Bham Parks & Rec to make it happen. FIU needs all the practice and "easy" wins they can get. Without this game, FIU could very well go winless this year.
According to our media, we are playing on Friday, no radio/tv though, so if one of you guys go we'd appreciate the updates on fiugoldenpanthers.com! Go F I U!

I'll plan to be there if it is played at Legion Field.
Wonder if there's a way we could set up a periscope link so you guys could see it?
I'd be game too if it was in Bham, that being said, why not just play it at Alcorn st?
I'm just speculating. But with the size of the storm, I think the AD is thinking of staying in Birmingham and borrowing the facilities during the week in order to fly out to Indiana from there. I don't think this is the type of storm where you can expect no damage to campus and surrounding neighborhood, so if you get out of town, you get out of town for at least a week.

My first thought was - "Yeah, that sounds like a great idea."

Then I looked it up. Dang. Alcorn St. is so far back in the woods it takes sunlight an extra day to get there. 70 miles SW of Jackson & 30 miles NNE of Natchez.

It looks like a beautiful place they've made for a campus, surrounded by 10,000 acres of pine trees.
I guess we'll be sharing our practice facility with FIU?
Southern U. is at USM this weekend. (edit0- forgot the main nugget) and Jackson St. is in Memphis, - So Veteran's Memorial stadium in Jackson is open too.
We won't be using our practice facility, so makes sense.

Jackson State (Veterans' Memorial's main tenant) will be playing there Saturday.
That was a nice offer by Ingram.

Do not misconstrue that statement as defending him. Lol

Jackson St. is playing Tennessee St. in Memphis, unless I'm misreading the schedule.
This is a double away game, so it's gonna be lonely. Even people who would travel for FIU will either be sheltering in place or evacuating.

It's cool we're stepping up to help them get the game in.

Jackson State is playing in the Southern Heritage Classic against Tennessee State this weekend up in Memphis.
