Hi.
Well I think we win. Is there a way to watch this other than in person?
NSU does a pretty good online feed. Not sure if you have to pay or not.
I suppose, as is Jimmy's way, we really won't know the availabilities of Christian, Durant and Swinton until kickoff time. These three guys are important to this team and the fact that they didn't play, other than Durant for one play before he got hurt, hurt us against UVA. They are three starters!

And, here we go....

FWIW, Swinton is back. Durant and Wimmer are not.
I suspect we'll run the ball down their throats again. I hope we jump out to a big league so Battle can gain some game experience.

Our defense was excellent vs the Spartans last year and our current squad looks stronger so I think we're in good shape there.

As someone wise once said "The future is now" someone needs to tell JL!
I really hope Jimmye is having additional punting tryouts this week!
We do have a freshman punter. If he is better or as good as McKee, he should start. I don't think JL is worrying about redshirting a punter.

I hope NSU game is McKee's final audition. If he has similar performance in terms of passing, he should be benched. We are leading by at least 2 TD, JL needs to let Battle/Mitchell play extensively.

I think McKee will look better on Saturday. NSU is quite a bit worse than UVA. And if he isn't better I hope the coaching staff allows for the backups to play.

Also if McKee is QB we need another punter to play. I don't see how we can have one player be consistently successful at both.
The backups on the roster should have got some game time at the end of last year, but they didn't. Now we are in the current situation. I wouldn't expect to see a different QB this week unless we are up by a bunch, and even then only with 5 minutes left or less. Hopefully I will be wrong.

McKee punted decently on Saturday when he wasn't fighting the play clock from being tackled to set up for a punt.
Also note that Christian is again missing from the depth chart with, I guess, a bad ankle since his foot was in a boot last week...as far as I can remember he's only been 100% for two games since getting here.

He's a dynamite, three-star receiver transfer from South Carolina and we need him to pair with Dedmon
as big-play threats.

I know this is something we've all criticized JL for in the past. This year, more than ever, getting reps for the #2 is critical I think. I really hope that in any games where we hold a meaningful 2nd half lead that JL goes against previous habits and puts the #2 in while we still have meaningful time to run the full offense.
Now Dedmon out, indefinitely, with a broken wrist. Ouch!

Ay Caramba! On the other hand, this gives Jack Armstrong (and all the other receivers) an instant chance to move into "great" receiver status.

(Sorry, I just couldn't resist. It is all in fun). -- and I am definitely not minimizing the importance/impact of this injury to both Dedmon and to the team. Hopefully, with a bye week in there, he will miss only about 4 games.

It might also put the kibosh on his playing basketball this year, as some posters have hoped for.

Can confirm: W&M HC Jimmye Laycock said WR DeVonte Dedmon is out indefinitely with a broken wrist. Via Dave Johnson DP
Durant out. Christian out. Swinton out. Now, Dedmon, a super talent.

This team and coaching staff are going to have to dig deep and will need all our support.
Broken wrist for a position like WR means indefinite could be a long time. Wish him a speedy recovery.
