Very excited for this weekend -- plenty of question marks still looming, but a lot of excitement in the air. It's always a good time when you have a chance to beat the in-state academic rival on their turf, especially when they're not a very good team.

In this article, we recap the 2015 matchup, analyze 5 of UVA's key players, include our proposed keys to victory for W&M, and more!

Anyone else going to Charlottesville? See you there! LET'S GO TRIBE!!!

I am o.k. with McKee if we had Funderburke. Since we don't have a proven RB, I think Jimmye will have to go with Battle or Mitchell. Our strength is Dedmon + WRs + Caskin, so we need to utilize them. McKee just doesn't seem to have arm strength to deliver the ball effectively.
There's interesting speculation here that McKee and Battle may share time, with Mitchell in "maybe" mode. If McKee/Battle is how the QB competition plays out, I would image that there would be potential desire to redshirt Mitchell.

I don't think Mitchell will start just because of the big arena vs high school atmosphere. However I do think that he will be in early in the game after having a chance to sense the atmosphere.

This would not surprise me one bit, and would actually make sense. Yes, we'd love to beat UVA, but in the end, this game doesn't mean much. I see Jimmye using it as an extended tryout. But we'll see!
That is not Jimmye. He wants to beat any FBS program badly.
This will definitely not be Mitchell's first trip to Scott Stadium. He started there twice (I believe) during his time at Oscar Smith in the Virginia state championship. His team lost both times and he looked overmatched both times.

That's the one thing that worries me just a little about Shon. He broke all kinds of records against southeastern conference foes but did not seem to rise against elite high school defenses (Centreville/Westfields).

I still think he is a very talented recruit and I'm absolutely glad he is on our team. I think we just need to see how everything plays out before officially anointing him savior. Redshirting Mitchell might not necessarily be the worst thing....but the coaching staff knows best.

Mitchell had 369 yards against Westfield in the 3OT championship game. He did turn the ball over a couple of times though. Also was 17-30 with 320 yards and a rushing TD last year in the rematch.
Point/Spread line is out
William & Mary @ Virginia (-20) - (O/U: 51) [UVA 35.5, W&M 15.5]
I like WM to cover and the under.

Tribe 28 - Hoos 16 with three field goals
I think it will be Battle. He has the combination of skills (speed AND arm strength) and a bit more familiarity with the play book than Mitchell.
Weather forecast is for remnants of Harvey to possibly affect game: 65% chance of rain, heavy at times, and thunder showers with blustery winds.

Still early, however, and forecast might change, but if turns out to be accurate it will be a different game.
Current forecast for game period is 63 degrees with 30% chance of rain and wind at 5 mph.
Sounds like football weather.
