Looks like the UT women won the Illinois State Invitational. Haven't seen anything about the men's race yet

Men finished 5th out of 8 teams at Illinois State. Haven't seen any articles about this on the UT site as of late Friday night. But here's a link to the Ithe results for the women and the men

On the women's side that's about as dominant a performance as you'll see. All five scorers in before the second runner from ANY team finishes.

Here's a "bold" prediction - 03-wink

Athena Welsh is the MAC Runner of the Week (or whatever term the conference uses for cross-country competitors).

If she's not, there should be an investigation

Eh, maybe. I know it's only one photo but she's tall and it seems to me that she runs pretty straight up, too easy for the defense to see. That girl running behind her, a lot harder to tackle. Never been to one of these cross country games, maybe I should take time. Looks like fun.

This'll teach me to make predictions. But no need for an investigation. I guess the runner from Western is deserving. 03-wink

Cross country teams in a meet at Minnesota. I found the links at the University of Minnesota site

Toledo women 11th out of 18 schools

Toledo men 14th out of 15 schools

Yikes! San Francisco took 1-4 against decent competition.
Looks like the UT women finished 8th (out of 40 schools) in the All-Ohio Collegiate Cross Country Championships

http://live.finishtiming.com/#/results/m.../results/1

The men's squad had some competitors there but apparently didn't have enough there to register a team score. Four runners the way it looks.

From looking at the names of our finishers, it's clear that the B team ran this race on the women's side.

Heck of a field. Was hoping we could finish ahead of Walsh, Malone and Cedarville.

No question. Still, how great is it to see Janelle Noe as top finisher? She has been through so much, and shown so much courage.
Reported on twitter that Alyssa Edwards from Yorkville IL has verballed to the Rockets. Her stats:

Coach Linh tweeted about a couple other commits but only with area codes, no names.

Given the date I'm a bit surprised there wasn't a 31 team tie for last.
Rocket women finished 17th out of 43 in the pre-nationals today. They beat the other MAC teams in the field - Central Michigan, Bowling Green, and Miami.

Another tweet that Rebecca Snyder of Oley Valley, PA has verballed to UT.

Men's squad was scheduled to compete in this, splitting the squad between the pre-nationals and Friday's race at Bradley (http://www.utrockets.com/news/2017/10/12...ath=mcross) but as far as I can tell none of the men competed at Louisville
