2 Game experience for all....need a QB next year

I'd prefer a much better FCS program, but we have three difficult games after Elon. I'd prefer a big boost in morale as well as playing time for our newbies.

Clearly, to give me some bragging rights here in central NC.

Don't sleep on these guys. They made the FCS playoffs in 2009.

2009? there isnt a single kid or coach on this year's team from 09. That's like saying watch out for us we won the MAC in 04.

I don't mind playing a cream puff, but like mentioned above maybe a little more established fcs team. You can't sleep on anyone these days, but reading Tom's review they sound like they would have trouble in the TRAC this year vs Central Catholic.

I see your point.. But seriously, Elon has flat out stunk the last few years. They haven't won more than 5 games since Pete Lembo left for greener turf in 2011.

They do have 1 former NFL first round draft pick Rich McGeorge TE 16th player taken 1970 draft. Finally remembered that 1 has been bothering me since they announced they were playing Elon.

....but seriously, you are right. As it was noted by Carolina Rocket, Elon football has been in the tank since Pete Lembo left them for Ball State in 2010 and they have a new 1st year coach this year I believe, so this game will not be able to tell us how good Toledo is this year (but in the unlikely event that is it is even close, then we will know we are in trouble). OTOH Elon basketball has been OK for few years now. I don't know about this coming year but last year their men could have given the Rockets a game and even their WBB would not have been embarrassed by the Lady Rockets.

The last time I slept on an FCS school the gAme was canceled for rain. The time before that??? We beat CCU by 10.

But hey? We may have a Logan throw 6 picks before the 4th quarter and get to see some future rockets sparkle.
