CMU and WMU tied for 2nd is different. Good read.
Sleeper is BG or CMU.
Miami has high expectations and could disappoint... Or they will go 10-2. Its too easy to say EMU will disappoint with that tough schedule.

Odd to have CMU so high with the loss of Cooper Rush but they have the talent. I think EMU is really intriguing as well but like you said the schedule is brutal.
Quote:Tom Flacco, JR, QB

Tom Flacco isn't on the team this year. He got beat out for the starting position and left (Rutgers?). With that said...

I wouldn't have so much faith in CMU being a sleeper. The reason why I can't do that is because how Awful their O-Line was last year. They couldn't run the ball, and their Star QB -- the best in the MAC -- was getting sacked more times than one of their freshman sorority girls. Their D is good, though. But I can't see their O-Line turning it around and having a good enough running game & protection to make a brand new QB equalize their previous star. If they can suddenly make that solid, then yeah, I'd agree with your pick.

Miami -- yeah, the favorites. And should be, along with Toledo to go to the MACC. Along with Ohio + WMU each threatening that position.

I think BSU is going to be a better team, and of course, EMU isn't going to be a cakewalk. I think Akron's going to be a bit better, as well as BGSU.

I can easily see a slug-fest in pretty much the whole MAC.

05-nono
The Offense we have been running was way too complex. Coach Bono has been pleased with the Oline play.
We are now running an Air Raid style spread Offense. We hired former Northern Mich Univ head coach to implement the spread. He teams put up oodles of points. We are said to be running fast up temp and going 9 wr deep. We have the playmakers and now we will be getting them in open space. Coach Bono said the Oline is doing better by simplifying the scheme he said addition by subtraction. I think the days of CMU being the pushover of the MAC are over. MACC not saying that but I definitely would put us as a sleeper!

CMU will have 3 B10 transfers coming in and starting, or at least getting heavy playing time. We are running a new offense entirely considering we never had the players to run a pro style offense.

Not saying we win the West or anything, but I expect us to be better than last season.
