Some of my favorites below:

Quote:[Ball State]:
“Defensively they can be pushed around a lot.”

[Eastern Michigan]:
“The school needs to invest in the future of the program soon, to be fair to the coaches and players.”

[Kent State]:
“They’re going to need a miracle for Paul Haynes to keep his job.”

“The players don’t look poorly coached on tape. The problems go deeper than changing a coaching staff, which will probably happen.”

[WMU]:
“You can’t replace P.J. Fleck.”

That's an interesting piece.

I wonder what this means, coming from a MAC coach: "The school needs to invest in the future of the program soon, to be fair to the coaches and players.”

I doubt there is a coach in the league who thinks their program is properly invested. Also, on the surface, EMU football looks like it has benefited from some investments recently: A new field, snazzy uniforms. Do they lack a practice facility? Are they scheduling too many body bag games? I'm not sure I follow the complaint.
I find it interesting that they think that Kent State does not look poorly coached so I wonder what they think is the actual problem is. Granted Kent has kept it really close many times for a bit now but we seem to lose by a score fairly often.

Keeping games close but still losing can be a sign of good coaching working with bad talent.
Bad talent is reflective of the coaching staff. This is year 5 for Haynes so every player is from his recruiting. The other issue is the team isn't losing 35-28 it is losing 10-7 or 7-3. The offense is so poorly coached and the play calling is beyond horrendous that it is solely on the coaching staff.
