Lane Kiffen is stocking up on four and five star cast-offs.

https://www.si.com/college-football/2017...s-pitt-fsu
The story line here is: can FAU make some noise and win a few before they experience a locker room meltdown (at best) or mutiny (at worst). What will come first, a conference championship or major violations followed by probation. In either case, will anyone notice? On the bright side, Joey Freshwater will bring some attention (be it good or bad) to our conference.

Please explain how this will turn into a locker room melt down?
Most of the guys that are mentioned have been with the team all summer and there hasn't been any issues most have played really well in the first week or so of camp.
They add another JUCO player and GT who was kicked off Pitt and we will be a disaster?
This is just so salty pettiness that annoys me. Lane has never had a locker room revolt, but because you don't like the way he left UT we will be UNC.

Will be interesting to see how Kiffin and his staff coaches this team. I don't think talent has been the issue at FAU as they have finished at or near the top of the conference in recruiting for several years now (including uner Partridge). Coaching has been a problem though especially on defense.

The approach that Lane is taking seems to be similar to how Marshall has done things over the years which, for the most part, has worked out.

there are a lot of stupid people when it comes to Skippy K

he took over a TERRIBLE Tennessee program and he had no issues there other than he left them in a year and they were not happy about it

and at USC he took over a terrible program that was already on double secret probation he did not do anything there that increased their issues with the NCAA there has never been any accusations of that much less any proof

and he actually won there after taking over during a disaster with the probation and recruiting restrictions he was only fired because USC has stupid high expectations and they cannot grasp the fact that they allowed their program to have major issues BEFORE Kiffen was ever there not while he was there

the down year he had in the 3rd season (and then 2 losses in year 4) pretty much goes right in line with the period when they had terrible recruiting because of the violations and restrictions in place from BEFORE he took over

hell they won 10 games that 4th year and I am pretty sure he would have won at least that many if he was not fired and I am 100% sure the players on the field were mostly his recruits because it was his 4th season there and because USC had so many players getting drafted along the way

so clearly he can recruit even with restrictions and he has not had a losing season in college ever

and if you want to talk about his pro record well two words "the raiders" and along with that his record there was still a hell of a lot better than what he took over for and what happened after he left

the people that call him a cheater seem to generally be fans of programs that are perpetual losers and that have churned through coach after coach losing and PRETENDING that their program has not had plenty of issues

they seem to ignore their player issues and of course their player issues get less attention because it is losers being losers at a perpetual loser program

but yea their program "does things the right way".....if by "the right way" you mean they suck a lot and pretend their program does not have issues

yea how could they when their programs suck, hire coaches no one has ever heard of, recruit like crap no matter what they try including going after "problems" and when they manage to have that "da season doh" that consist of barely making a bowl game and getting spanked in it no one cares and they go back to losing the next few seasons

check out this pack of green chodes

in addition to trying to brand UTSA as cheaters because UTSA spanks them apparently they think that Skippy K is the football version of Larry Brown even though he has never gotten a program in any trouble at any of his prior coaching stops

and of course they thought that UTSA would have major issues under Coker as well......apparently spanking north Texas state was not one of those issues
Just curious. What school in this conference wouldn't have signed those players?

I have met De'Andre and he might be one of the nicest well-spoken athletes you could meet. If you watched Last Chance U you saw how he now he goes to women's abuse centers and was one of best kids Ms.Wagner worked with.
I would love to take your worst mistake in life and make in public for the world to see.

I bet his worst mistake wasn't clocking a female in the face.
There was a more famous coach
Than Lame Kiffin will ever be and
That coach said "We are on a collision
Course with a National Championship.

Well there was not a collision, a dent
OR a scratch
