Meanwhile they've been to the NCAA tourney more recently than we have lol.

Malcolm Wilson, 6'11" Center from Columbia, SC

"Go Lions" made me laugh, and he has an impressive offer list so far.

Seriously. "Lions"?! I have zero faith that this guy is ever a Lion, uh... I mean Monarch.
That says more about us for not informing the kid on the program and school better. FWIW, he did offer a correction;

Exactly.
Yeah, I don't see the possibility of this guy becoming a Monarch considering the other names associated with his recruiting. Seems like we have seen this movie before.

It would be neat if we could somehow look into a crystal ball and know who Blaine would have brought into the program to play the 4 and 5 positions over the last 5-6 recruiting classes. I'd have to believe that there would have been at least 2 or 3 solid freshmen centers that had progressed up through the ranks both starting and providing depth along the way.
I would be completely shocked if Wilson does not go to Georgetown. They had an in home last week and he unofficially visited this past weekend. His Mom has mentioned how great the school is.

Highly rated (borderline top 100), but is very raw and would probably have to sit at GU for at least a year. Good defensive player, no offense at this point.
Offered Dematha G Jahmir Young (Mike Jones is coach)
Got beat in our own back yard for a very strong recruit. 6-6 F Dajour Rucker of Cape Henry commits to Marshall. Outstanding scorer at all levels.
Can't have someone join the team if we don't offer them.
Did we offer him? I can't find an offer.

Speaking of which, did we formerly offer Sarvan?

2. Kenan Sarvan | 6’9 | Bishop Sullivan | 2019

A new comer to the 757, Akeen Sarvan has made his presence known early, without even playing a regular season game. Akeen, who going out on a limb, could be compared to a young Porzingis, came to the Crusaders by the way of Amsterdam runs the floor effectively to be a 6’9 post player, and provides the Crusaders with a new energy in the paint. With new guard, AJ Epps running the show for the Crusaders, the duo, (Epps and Sarvan) should become household names in the near future.
Isn't that the kid we "brought" over?

Yes. Jefferson helped bring him to the states and got him into Bishop Sullivan. No idea if we have offered or not.

If ODU was instrumental in bringing the kid over then it would seem strange if they weren't going to offer him a scholarship. No?

Seems strange but Jefferson could've brought him over as a follow. A chance to see him play a lot and decide whether he is good enough to offer.

Good catch. VC and 247 had nothing listed. Some random tweet says so. Shrug. Maybe it was a "verbal offer."
I realize we aren't the program we were 10 years ago, but it still sounds odd that a player would turn us down for Marshall. Especially so when he could have played in front of his family, friends and a pretty engaged fan base in a beautiful arena. Maybe he did, maybe not. I guess it doesn't matter at this point. I'm still worried about 2018 recruiting.
