It's a new franchise that's growing fast. Has a location in Memphis. Wondering if any of you have eaten there and what you think if it?

It's on the Highland Strip.

Overpriced. And not in a normal way. EXTREMELY overpriced. Did not care for it at all.
I've been meaning to check it out & haven't been there yet. I've heard mixed reviews overall.

How is it EXTREMELY overpriced?

It is $9.99 for a burger, fries and coke.

Burger king would be $6.50 for the same thing.

Mc Donalds would be $6.00

Back Yard Burgers would be $8.00

Compared to Cook Out it is high priced.
Sear Shack is the best burger in town, they have locations in Collierville and East Memphis and just opened a location in Bartlett last week.
I was so hyped to try Cook Out, and I was very disappointed.
Problem?

Love Cook Out. Great food and VERY reasonably priced. I hope they convert the 3 Danvers they recently bought into Cook Out locations.

Still hard to beat a good Topps hamburger. Under $8 for a combo.
I'm pretty sure that's been confirmed when they bought them.

The former Mexican restaurant next door to Cook Out is being converted into a storage facility. They wouldn't do that unless there were more locations opening in Memphis.
I waited for a while in a chaotic atmosphere, once I finally got into the lot and found a parking spot. And then, I was handed a small bag with a mediocre hamburger in it and a couple of small sides and a drink. The fries were just regular ole fries. For all the hype about the number of sides, and the fact you can get meat sides, I was just underwhelmed. I wanted to say, "Is this all there is?"
Shrug.

Their food is great.

They said they were gonna work with Danvers theme and try to make it more profitable before they change them to Cook Out. Hope they just ditch Danvers and change them over soon.
COOKOUT is pretty decent.

My only complaint is that they tie a drink to your meal.

I drink water.

Not sodas.

So that leaves the "shakes" that you have to eat with a spoon or a goofy processed water Dasani style.

As for the sides, they give ample fries but skimp on chiggen nuggets and onion rings.

But the chiggen wrap and/or quesadilla sides are sizable.

I didn't go anywhere near there for at least two months after they opened.

COOKOUT is in our regular takeout rotation along with Chik Fil A, Wendy's, Subway, and Top's.

This reminded me to eat there. Keep forgetting it is there on Sanderlin. Just got finished. Stuffed.

Yep, just call me Peggy Lee. I'm thinking of going and getting a real burger at LBOE.
Just ate at Sear Shack in Bartlett. Oh my. SO average and WAY overpriced. Was gonna get a milkshake. $5.75 for a a shake the size of a medium drink at Wendys. 2 singles, 2 fries and no drink, almost $17. Sorry. Won't be back .

Huh, I did not know this. That's interesting, thanks for the info.

You watching the race tomorrow? I caught the Xfinity race today.

Yep. Not a big road race fan but they are growing on me.
Oh man, I love them, especially since 90% of the Cup field has become competent at them around ten years ago or so. I wish there 4/36.
