It sounds like with the 9 game Big 10 schedule, there will be alternating years where a school will only have four home conference games. In those "off years", they've been given a green light to potentially schedule an FCS opponent.

Delany says Big Ten teams are allowed to play FCS teams in years where they play only 4 league home games.

League didn't anticipate how tough it would be for schools with four B1G home games to add three FBS home games in those years.
I love this.

Of the 4 Big Ten teams within a 6 hour drive, would you rather see the Dukes match up with Big Ten teams that we could potentially "upset" (Maryland, Rutgers) or those with a much higher profile (Ohio State, Penn State) which would likely be a lopsided loss?

My dream is to have our Madison football team play in Madison. Went to a Badger game last year and the rumors of it being one of, if not the, best college towns is true. Need a good reason to get back there sooner than later.
