They are more alike than they are different. On the one hand, it's more waste and pork barrel spending. OTOH, isn't this why these politicians are elected in the first place? Either way, same tactics are being used. Either both parties are wrong in these tactics or both sides are prudent in securing backing. One side cannot be correct and the other side wrong.

Sounds about the same. Some of this horse trading is reasonable. The question is where the party leaders and the people requesting these things cross the line into unreasonable benefits.

agree....

"horse trading" is a necessary consequence....party affiliation once didn't matter relative to negotiating economic relevance...however, the left is farther left of reason (USD) at this point.....

perfection isn't achievable....even six sigma dogma has that part figured out....
There is a big difference between negotiating policy points and adding out right pay-offs. But that's the way it works in DC. Personally I think it's all BS but then nothing comes easy.
Repeal Obamacare Care with an end date of Oct 2018. You'll need to have a replacement by then or the free market will be the only option. That should bring a large number of democrats to the table.

What makes you think they would prefer helping people to having another talking point in their effort to take the House and Senate? I don't think you have been paying attention the last few years.
