Okay, WACt vets. It's time for me to ask, again, when we need to start watching for room blocks to open up and WACt session passes to go on sale? I called the Orleans today and the rep could only find WCC and WAC Media room blocks in the system.

Do most fans usually end up going through their school for either or both tickets and hotel? It seems like the Orlens pushes all their direct ticket sales through TicketMaster. I'd love to avoid doing business with those goons, if at all possible.

PTO was approved this week. Cleared it with the wife one more time. Just 239 days & we'll be living large in Vegas.
I'm excited to have the purple robots there this year. If there's a NM State-GCU match-up, the Orleans just might have the environment of a real basketball game. How many do you expect to travel? I would guess 2-3k?

I'm not really sure to be honest. That seems high. I'm going to guess about a 1000... It really depends on how many havocs can make it there and how long. GCU has a large alumni base, but not sure how willing they are to show up for a basketball game, especially since many are online students. We shall see!

I would actually be surprised if the number is over 1000. I expect the majority who will want to travel are students. GCU's spring break isn't until 2 weeks after the WACt, which makes me wonder if many students will find themselves in midterms.

If GCU does turn out high numbers, I definitely don't expect it to be on Day 1. Perhaps the blessing of being within driving distance of Vegas is people can be to Vegas in 4 hours. While I expect there to be a lot of excitement in this first year, the future curse may be that people wait and see if GCU survives the First Round (and maybe Second Round) before committing to jump in the car.
NM State has been averaging around 1,000 fans for the last few years at the tournament. I would imagine with GCU's better resources to promote it, and their proximity to Vegas that they could do better than that. Also with a good year from UVU, we might have three schools bring a decent following. (looking at you Bakersfield)

The WCC who has the arena the week before us, fills that thing up. Some day.... Or bring it back to the Pan Am where 13,000 watched the title game two years in a row.
CSUB quite obviously brought the 2nd most fans to the tournament last year. So not sure what you're on about. NMSU brought 1000? Yeah I don't think so.
I was planning to attend but I'm going to have to skip it and save my money for my trip to Massachusetts in May to visit and meet with the coaching staff of the New England Patriots.

They looking to hire you to replace the guy that used to handle Tom Brady's deflated balls? Good luck, if so!

You're not funny.

No! The strength and conditioning coach for the New England Patriots is from my hometown. Our entire staff is planning to go.
