Since the Grizz will have Two-Way players for the first time this season, thought it would be interesting to see who qualifies.

1st round picks can’t be two-way players, because their contracts are guaranteed. 2nd round picks, like Rabb and Brooks, can be two-way players. The obvious question, to me, is what if the 2nd round pick refuses to be a two-way player, refuses to sign the tender? If he refuses, is that player just waived? I assume that is the case. The team can’t force the 2nd rounder to be a two-way player, if I am reading the new CBA correctly. From the new CBA:

"If a player is a second-round pick, his team submits a required tender (retaining its draft rights to the player), the player signs his required tender, and the team subsequently waives the player, then that team is the only team that can sign or convert (see question number 83) that player to a Two-Way contract in that season.

If a second round draft pick signs his required tender (a contract offer the team submits in order to retain the player’s draft rights) and is later waived, that team is the only team that can convert the player to a Two-Way player for the remainder of that season."
