Cyp was on with Verno yesterday, sounds like Cyp is on their butts pretty good. Not fooling around, Cyp wants to win these games.

News about Rabb this a.m. Rabb was hurt pre-draft, which was one of the reasons Grizz FO gave that he fell to 35, cause Rabb couldn't work out for teams.

Ivan Rabb has been ruled out for @memgrizz 1st 3 summer league games as he rehabs a left ankle sprain sustained in a predraft workout.
Chris Wallace is obsessed with injured players. WTF
Selden looks good. Grizz getting after it on defense.
You can see why they like Rade. Can handle the ball in transition, good passer. Has some hops. Probably a year away, but looks like a player.

Rebounds well too
He has been unselfish...time to get his own shot

Yep. Does Baldwin frustrate you as much as he does me? See his potential, so long and athletic. Then he over-penetrates, gets caught in the air. Can shoot free throws, don't think he has hit the rim yet.

Selden the best player on the court so far. How did he go undrafted?

Baldwin's trying to do way too much. Not seeing much development in him since last year.

Selden is impressive. I hope he gets a shot to start at the 2. Really solid defensively and not bad offensively either.
Selden three 3-pointers, rest of team has one. You can tell he's been working on his shot. He started playoff games, see no reason why he shouldn't be in the competition.

Kobi Simmons looks alright. Have no idea why he lost his starting job at Arizona.
Jeez, Grizz look bad in the 4th. Refs calling fouls every time down the court.

Telling that Simmons is the PG down the stretch so far, now Baldwin coming back, and another defensive foul. He seems to have an idea how to run the offense. Wish DD would show an inkling of confidence on the offensive end. Such a good rebounder and defender.
Wayne Selden is a good player
Tie game, Selden completes the shot and fouled. Grizz up 3 with 2 seconds left. Selden with 29 points. Grizz win.
Dillon Brooks is more skilled than the other young guys, which you would expect from an Junior in college. Good passer. Took a charge.

But . . . he is small. I think Selden is taller than him. And not fast. Is he going to be athletic enough to guard NBA wings? I can see why NBA scouts had their doubts.

Brooks is 6'7 and Selden is 6'5. Selden is definitely more athletic and more polished at this point. Hopefully a year of D league games will do Brooks well.

I know that is their listed heights, but I saw them stand side by side several times today and they are the same height. Dillon only slightly taller than Baldwin and Simmons. DraftExpress had Dillon at 6'5" without shoes.

Wish the front office had more confidence in Jarell. Very comfortable mid range shot. Can move his feet on D. Still think he has ability.

Martin looked a bit lost out there. But then summer league games are usually geared towards the guards showing off well.
I'm not getting too high with any of these guys. Russ Smith killed it in the SL.

Just look for little things that can translate on a role player level

Yep. Summer League can indicate more the guys who can't play than those who can.

A general rule is that players entering their 2nd year should dominate in SL. Which is why Baldwin's performance is so concerning. He put up some points, so his boxscore might look ok. But still seems to have little clue how to run an offense. And those drives to the bucket when he has no clue what to do, same thing we saw last year.

I thought Jarell looked ok, but most are saying he was still consistently out of position on D. Will have to watch that more tonight.
Grizz drafting injured big men has to stop. Of course, they say the injury is the reason the player dropped in the first place.

If Rabbs ankle is as serious as I've heard I wouldn't be surprised if the FO uses that as ammunition for him to sign a 2 way deal.

This roster crunch will probably work itself out. In any case, no hurry, don't have to get to 15 now anyway.
Rade will be one of the 15, which is a good thing:

I'm told that Rade Zagorac's deal is NOT a two-way contract.
