Thought maybe it is time to have a thread for Rockets in the MLB, minors, wherever. Prompted by this news item about Aaron Dudley being selected to the Frontier League All-Star game.

http://utrockets.com/news/2017/7/4/baseb...-game.aspx

Aaron plays for the Normal, IL CornBelters and is hitting a sizzling .366 this season. (and I have no idea what a CornBelter is).
The other 2 Rockets I know of in the pros this season are Jared Hoying, who was reassigned back to Round Rock after a stint with the Rangers.

and Deion Tansel who is playing for Tampa Bay Class A affiliate Hudson Valley this season.

Cameron Palmer who played a few games for the Ogden Raptors of the Pioneer League last year, doesn't appear to be on a roster this year.
Deion Tansel had an inside-the-park HR for Hudson Valley over the weekend.

Deion Tansel traded from the Rays to the Padres.

Jared Hoying selected to KBO All-Star Game

I turned on a game on MLB the other day and caught the opening and the line-up cards. I recognized 7 players out of the 18 in the 2 starting line-ups. Has the average career of a major league player shortened up that much? Or time is going by too fast and I'm not following the players that much anymore.

I've heard Don Wert has hung up his spikes.
Couple of notes.

Apparently Deion Tansel has retired. See: http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?pla...g/2018/ALL

Also, I see Aaron Dudley is still playing. This year for the Somerset Patriots https://patch.com/new-jersey/bridgewater...ron-dudley
Here's a video interview with him:

The kid doing the interview is waaay more professional than half the guys making a living as sports reporters today.
Ex-major leaguer in S. Korea channeling inner Kirk Gibson -- just not intentionally

Jared Hoying resigned by his Korean team. Nice paycheck.

They’ll be fine as long as they keep Aguirre and the rest of the starters.

I probably couldn’t name three current MLB players. Loved baseball as a kid, couldn’t care less anymore.
