BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The 2017 UAB football season kicks off in less than 70 days and in anticipation of the historic return, UAB football players, spirit team members and Blaze will load a UAB bus and travel to businesses in the Birmingham area on Saturday, July 1 for a second Decal Drive.
Twenty-five fans will have the opportunity to help distribute and apply 2017 window stickers to local businesses. The decals are a symbol of the community support for the upcoming season and a great way for local businesses to get behind the Blazers.
Fans will gather on campus Saturday at 8:30 a.m., load the bus and return to the campus at noon. Each fan that attends the Decal Drive will receive special UAB giveaways.
“We had such a wonderful experience with our first Decal Drive in the spring and wanted to offer another opportunity for our fans to join us as we spread the excitement of the return of UAB football,” said UAB Director of Athletics Mark Ingram. “This is an exciting time for us and the city of Birmingham.”
