Huskies really needed a player like this!
Early lineup prediction: German, Thorpe, Bradley, Key, James
Subs: Thomas, Brown, Tommy, McCarthy, Hamilton and Hayes getting some time as a 3pt shooter. In my opinion the roster looks pretty decent on paper. I asked Monty about playing Bradley at the 3, he said he can do it offensively not sure about defense. He has to Bradley and Key both need close to 30mins a game.

your line-up, 222, seems to point (pun intended) out this Huskie dilemma: lack of a true point guard...as such there is a good possibility that Jordan will start since that frees up German to play off the ball, attack from the wing and get more shots. It is tempting to get and keep the ball in his hands, but, that doesn't maximize ball movement which could prevent Dante, Tommy D and Levi from getting enough quality shots. That being said, German's explosiveness, reminiscent of Iverson, really helps the running game and with guys like Levi and Thorpe filling the lanes will really make the break dangerous and profitable.
I personally don't like German at point guard, as he will dominate the ball and slow movement down. I really don't like the idea of starting Justin Thomas at point because that will likely put Bradley or Key coming off the bench. I believe they both have to start for production and I believe if one of them doesn't start they will transfer the following season. I believe the Huskie fans that complain that Monty subs too often will see a different rotation this season. Look for German, Bradley, Key, James and Thorpe to get 25+ minutes a game.

Really rare for kid to transfer after junior year....would need to sit a year which means new school pays two years to get one......gonna be hard to allocate more than 1/2 of all playing time to 4 guys (100+ minutes total) only leaving <100 minutes for Thomas, Tommy, new guy from Australia, Lacy, Marlo, Andrew, Hayes, Owen and Noah....also, until these new guys see game action, hard to think their play and/or injuries won't change a plan made this early......

While I think this group has the potential to be much more explosive offensively than MM has had in the past, I can't see him straying too far from defensive principles to keep matadors on the floor too long. So my guess is, keeping guys in front of you and out of the lane will dictate much playing time.

ON THE CONTRARY ... it is easy for a kid to transfer after his junior year ... if he has graduated. Happens quite a lot these days.

"Quite a lot" sound like a stretch..........unless there is a prior redshirt involved so he has actually been on campus taking classes for 8 semesters and summers.
Thad Matta might be still available after this season if he doesn't take a job by then. 05-stirthepot
