Not good to use school money for golf trips for boosters to Scotland I guess. Looks like they paid some $64K for certain $$$ boosters to go along.
That'll usually not be a good move. You'd think he was smarter than that.
Stoopid is as stoopid does. Why would you be that dumb - especially when making that kind of money doing something you love? He should be advised to keep his mouth shut and not provoke those looking into the situation.
He was so generous, he overpaid coaches for no real reason...

Must be nice to make $1M/year for three years to be incompetent in your line of work - then given another $1M to walk away. Sad thing is, it happens all the time. Just need to have some success as a coach and be great at interviewing. I know it's a tough business and very competitive, but the AD wasn't even being criticized much for that, but instead for "wasting" money on golf for some of the biggest donors in the program. Which is worse?

Tough to win, have improved GPA's and hold on to coaches if you are not a power conference school where the money is virtually endless.
