Ok, to be fair, I am losing mine after the 2 months. Of course, Obam inhertied a crappy economy from Bush and Trump got a good economy to start.

Actually, Bush inherited a recession from Clinton.

I've got to go back and check Bush and CLintons numbers, but Trumps and Obamas are correct from what I recall.

I think a link would be better than a recollection. Just to avoid that pesky "fake news" phrase that is floating around these boards.

It is correct. It is taking the first two full months under each president.

My company reduced staff ten percent. My wife's has eliminated all overtime.

I am skeptical at this point.

Skeptical about what? The numbers? The numbers are what they are.

Not everyone will be a winner. If a company focused extremely heavily on consulting for the EPA, that company is about to get whacked for not diversifying prior to now. The point is that many more people are winning now than they were.

And so far the additional job creation is due to Trump's executive orders that are undoing some Obama restrictions, and the promise of tax reform. If he's able to deliver on the tax reform, that will really improve things. But companies will only go so far without some mid to long term certainty in place.
Honestly, about the only thing a president can "do" in his first two months is give people some sense of where he wants to take the country economically and give a positive or negative vibe.......little else in that timeframe.

Trump has given a positive vibe and if congress will ever tackle tax reform the economy could take off. With that said, the economy is still largely treading water.
Does Trump have a magic wand?
Even if he actually did something to help the economy wouldn't it take longer to have an effect?
There is a cause (POLICY) then effect timeline politics

Technically but not really.
Obama did. He took a troublesome recession and forced it into a full blown one. He kept moaning about how bad things were and how they were getting worse and destroyed what was left of consumer confidence. Bill Clinton finally had to tell him in late February to just shut up. After that, things quit sinking so fast.

Thanks! It wasn't that I didn't believe you, it just doesn't go over well if I tell someone 'this person online remembers this fact'. lol
Also as was stated, with so many 'fake news' claims being made... it's nice when information is verifiable. :)

Link? Terrible when president blames his predecessor.
