As of 05/23/2017

PG: Wade Baldwin IV
SF: Rade Zagorac
PF: Jarell Martin
C: Deyonta Davis
PF: Victor Rudd (Maccabi Tel Aviv)

Potential:
CG: Andrew Harrison
SG: Wayne Selden
Unless something has changed, Andrew is not playing in the Summer League this year.

But I like the roster: Wade and Selden starting in the backcourt. Rade and Jarell at the forwards, and DD at center. Should be a lot of fun to watch.
Grizz have had Zagorac stashed in Euroball the past season. Team is pretty high on him, I know that really doesn't mean much till he performs over here. He's got good size at 6'9" and can hopefully fill in as a sweet shooting tall wing. Summer League is really going to be telling for him. He's pretty much our draft pick this year so we need it to work.

Hollinger sounded on the fence about it, but probably leaning towards not playing him. Maybe if we move him to the 2 management would want to see how he plays...but Idk.

Big summer for a lot of guys. We need 2 or 3 to hit.
Potentially best Summer League since we started the playoff run.

Two years ago, we had an injured Jordan Adams and an injured Jarell. Last year, Jarell was still injured, Wade was not impressive. At least Andrew was good.

I think the FO has big hopes for 4 of the 5 guys. DD to back-up Marc soon, and replace him down the line. They love Selden's toughness and improvement in the program. Wade has great size and athleticism for the PG position, must improve his shooting and show he can run the offense. And Rade is the great unknown - we spend a lot of time scouting Europe, Hollinger was just there again for 10 days - so hope they hit on him.

And I still like Jarell, but think the FO has turned on him. So Summer League could be a showcase to trade him.

Grizz start Summer League in Vegas on July 7th. Free agency starts on July 6th.

What happens with Jarell will be interesting. If he shows promise and some team offers Green the world...I could see us opting for the younger Martin.

He was a 1st Round pick for a reason. He has skills, just hasn't been healthy. Remember it took Draymond 3 years to produce. Not saying Martin is Draymond, but don't want to see us give up on young guys before you give them a chance.
I like Jarell. He finally seems to be over his foot injuries. They seem to have figured out he has to play the 4, which is fine in this small-ball NBA era.

But I'm not sure the Grizz still like him. Was drafted before the current coaching staff was here. Seemed like he got some run early in the season. Then there were opportunities to give Jarell minutes later in the year, when he wasn't in Iowa, and Fizz chose other players. PER dropped from 14 in 15-16 to 8.7 last year.

When you hear Hollinger or Stefanski or even Fizz talk about the young guys, Jarell's name seems to be the last to come up. We'll see.

True - could see us moving him for a 2nd this year...
Grizz will have to see how it shakes out with JMike and ZBo before deciding on Jarell.

Minnesota is the team that worries me re JMike. If Pekovic takes a medical retirement, as expected, his salary comes off their books. The T'Wolves will have plenty of money to spend. And Brooklyn also, as many have speculated. I could see JMike getting a big offer soon after the FA period starts, and then Grizz have 2-3 days to match, and doubt they go real high.

Tim McMahon was on the Verno pod yesterday, and he says ZBo wants to get paid. Which surprised me, but TM usually knows his stuff. I think ZBo is in for a surprise, while still productive, his brand of power forward is disappearing. And his defense is just awful now. Hope Grizz don't get too nostalgic, and overpay ZBo.

What if we go into next year with Chandler starting at PF with Jarell, who turned 23 today, backing him up?

The lack of interior defense and rebounding would kill us all season long
Moving Parsons to 4 would hurt rebounding. But man...the offense could be really dangerous. Spread the floor, high pick and roll with the best passing big in the league...Would give Conley better driving lanes too. A healthy Parsons at the 4 could be a lot of fun.

Also ... can't have TA on the floor if that's what ya want to do.
You should listen to the pod, Hometown, because that is exactly what they discussed. McMahon said the Mavs offense was at its best for the 2 months that Parsons was at the 4 and Dirk at the 5. And defense wouldn't be hurt as much as one might think, because so few teams play back-to-the-basket 4's anymore.

As you and Dynamos say, we would be a bad rebounding team. Would need to get some rebounding help from our 2's and 3's.

Yeah I'm not saying we'd have to employ that lineup primarily, but it could be our version of the warriors "lineup of death" which includes Curry, Klay, KD, AI, and Draymond.

Regardless of what happens...Marc has to rebound more next year.
That lineup only works because they are also good on defense

We'd be softer than Charmin....Mark is a stretch 5 who doesn't rebound very well and you pair him with a stretch 4 who rebounds at a similar rate. We will get pounded down low. Offense would be interesting but not enough, I fear
