The BC Women's Lacrosse Team beat USC today to reach the NCAA Final 4! I believe it will be the only ACC team on the Women's side. A couple of years ago they made it to the Elite 8. This year they have topped that.
The BC baseball team needed a three game sweep of Notre Dame at home this weekend to qualify for the ACC tourney. They accomplished that today - winning the third game in as many days against ND. The BC team made the Super Regionals last year and was only one close loss away from making it to Omaha. They lost quite a few players to graduation and the pro's so this was expected to be a rebuilding year. The team started out slow but came together as the season when on and had a strong finish.
This was the last game at Shea Field which will be demolished pretty quickly in order to construct the new football IPF. Next year, they move to a new on-campus facility with a veteran team.
