I'm kind of surprised that nobody has mentioned this. Glad to see donor money flowing to other sports.

WMU Soccer Complex Receives $75K Field Upgrade
I thought the turf looked to be in pretty good shape. Anyone know what drove the upgrade?
I occasionally watched on Tuesday as they were removing the grass from the field. I had no idea why they were doing that.
I'm glad they are sticking with natural grass. I'm afraid that the correlations of kids playing on the new field turf with lieukemia may be more than coincidence. It may be this generations asbestos. I don't even like taking my kids to the playgrounds with the rubberized surfaces. If you can smell the noxious fumes when it gets warm out then it's probably not a good thing.

And I've been elbow deep in solvent cleaning grease off of parts and sucked in more diesel exhaust in 3 years as an army mech than most are exposed to in their lives. But these kids don't make a choice to play on these surfaces they have to

Improved drainage and a more even field surface. I wish those guys could redo my front lawn, it looks like a$$.

I read this about field turf last year and it is not encouraging.
