Didn't want to create a separate thread for the Coastal-GS series so I went ahead and started this one.

Links are to live Stats
Georgia Southern at Coastal Carolina
Georgia State at App State (Game 3 on ESPN3)
Cajuns at Little Rock
UT Arlington at ULM
Texas State at Troy (All games on ESPN3)
South Alabama at Arkansas State (Game 2 on ESPN3)

------------------------------------------------

For the Coastal fans, looking forward to this one. I'll be okay if we don't get swept in this one.

We're a lot like the Cajuns offensively. Not a lot of power but we get plenty of hits. Our starting pitching hasn't lived up to the hype, but the relief pitching has been stout. Bullpen has not blown a lead all season yet.

We have Savannah St on Wed this week so I'm looking for us to end the week at least 2-1-1

We will hold your asses hostage if it comes to that. No excuse for y'all, we will have armed guards in the dugout need be.
IIRC, tournament seeding is determined by fewest losses and not most wins, so UL and Coastal basically both got functional wins for the third game of the series if I am understanding correctly.

The tie breaker reads as using the conference winning percentage per the media guide release at the start of the season. I believe the tie basically counts as a half win and half loss and you still take the win percentage.

It won't be difficult to determine in the end if the teams play the same amount of games. A team that is 20-9-1 in conference would be behind a team that is 21-9-0, but they would be ahead of a team 20-10-0

21-9-0 > 20-9-1 > 20-10-0

When you don't get games in for weather, that's where it gets tricky. Since the tie should count as a half win, you would still factor that into both sides and take wins/total gms played

20-9-0 .690 WP
20-9-1 (effectively 20.5-9.5) .683 WP

Correct. The tie effectively removes Coastal/UL from tiebreaks outside of a tie with each other.

If those two were to finish tied, things get real messy because it will come down to record against common opponents I can envision a scenario right now where Coastal loses the tiebreak and gets the 2 seed because they lost that opening series to Texas State.
Bobcat's Sunday game at Troy has been moved back to Saturday (DH).

Astate/USA postponed. Supposed to rain about 9 and teams elected not to deal with a suspended game. Doubleheader tomorrow weather permitting
Does it just permanently rain in Jonesboro?
Takes a lot of water to grow dem tall pine trees . . .

B 5th, TXST losing to Troy 3-0. . . . maybe send a little of that rain to Alabama?
Nah we're good. We play better from behind.
