Reported on twitter that the Steelers have signed Ruben Carter.
Chiefs playing on CBS right now. Starting RB down holding his knee. Taken off on a cart.

Don't like to see anyone hurt, but Kareem has a golden opportunity now
Kenny Stafford just drew a good PI call on the Roughriders. Too bad I'm a big Riders fan, and I think I've seen a UT player play for every team in the CFL but the Riders in recent years.

Although, Dave Ridgway did win the Grey Cup with his foot in '89...
I started watching the 2nd half of the Chiefs game.

Kareem finally got a carry near the end of the 3rd, but the play was called dead because the 'hawks challenged the previous catch. That's OK because the play didn't seem to be giong much of anywhere.

Late in the 4th he was in for a few plays in a series, but they were throwing the ball. Eventually the QB fumbled it away.

2 minute warning.

Nine carries for 39 yards and one incomplete target. No other back had as many carries.
big news it seems in KC, starting rb goes down with apparent serious knee injury. kareem looks like he will be the starter week 1. ran well tonight. had a couple tough back to back first down runs and the did a little profile on him, several rocket photos, mentioned how the coaches and team are real high on him. mostly looked good. first carry was hit a step after he took the handoff on a run blitz. next seriesm did a poor job picking up a blitz and let the blitzer (a star LB) pressure the qb. latter that, ooked quick at strong against the vaunted seahawks defense in the first half. good runs, solid blocking. the chiefs will need him to play well. their qb and receiving play was mediocre for the most part.
The former SMU, BG, Alabama guy, Gehrig, looked good in a brief stint.

Hunt moves into starting lineup with injury to Ware

Browns playing at the Bucs tonight, and Tampa has announced their starting WRs are going to sit out, so Reedy may get a lot of PT.

However, as of 1/2 hour ago, they cleared the field due to lightning, so not sure if they will get underway at the scheduled 7:30 start.

That's not bad for a rookie in The League.

Aw, that brings back bad memories.

Reedy had a rush for 9 yards and a nice catch and run for 25. Also 3 punt returns with a long of 13, but there were penalties on 2 returns that I saw which called some back. Buzz on twitter from the Tampa media was that he helped himself again last night, fighting for the #5 WR spot and PR/KR.

Video of his catch and run here:

Hester was credited with another sack yesterday against Dallas. 3 sacks in 3 games.
Reported today that Chief's starting RB suffered a torn PCL and is expected to be out for the season. That makes Hunt likely to be the feature back for the Chiefs.

I don't think they can get by with what they have, a rookie and a 30 year old. I think they'll trade to bring in experience. Hunt's preseason might have upped his worth in that regard also, if they can use him to get a first teamer plus.
Chiefs unlikely to make trades, Hunt is their back of the future, they got an experienced backup still healthy and they already added a vet in CJ Spillar who might be past his prime but still has talent.

Flu didn't play until late in the titans game as they worked their starters for a while, but he was effective in the short passing game w 3 catches for 15 yards pp and no drops.

Reedy positioning himself to open the season as the Bucs punt returner and backup slot receiver. Needs a solid final preseason game to secure that spot, but odds are he finally catches a break and makes a game day roster.

Not sure what happens w Storm Norton, up n down camp w Lions but they are short on the oline so he might stick or get cut and picked back up on the practice squad.

Hester has had an excellent preseason for Raiders and looks like a lock to make the team and possibly be part of interior dline rotation on sundays as a rookie
