Smart move by Wilder to not retain an agent (at least at this point). Keeping his options open if he decides to not go to the NBA...he'll be back in a Bronco uniform next season.

Yup, agreed.
My 10-year old just pointed out that our football team did REALLY well the season after Braverman left.

Bye Thomas!! Good luck!
Braverman was one of 85. Wilder is one of 13. Big diff there.

True. But we might just catch lightning in a bottle again.
I'd say he's using this as a gauge to see how far he is from realizing a dream. Some kids get bad advice to forego a final season or seasons and don't make the first round. 2nd rounders are not guaranteed a contract or roster spot and rarely play meaningful minutes in the association the season they are drafted. This is regarded as a deep draft this year so competition for top 30 in college ball is tight. Add to that the 2-4 international players that make the 1st round and the odds are Wilder doesn't come close to top 30 consideration. No harm in getting the feedback then working on any shortcomings in his game and coming back to WMU for a solid Sr. season. To put it in perspective, Derick Walton Jr is having a great senior season at Michigan but probably will not get drafted.
The problems with getting drafted 2nd round

I'm guessing he ends up coming back.

TW would be competing with other pg and the predicted top five draft pg are all frosh. Question is do those guys stay or do they go?
He's the heart and soul of our team. Hope he comes back next season or it's going to be a tough one.

I agree. It seems like every year when we should have a great team coming back for "next year" we lose real key players which cripples our chance at a great year. Players transferring, getting injured, and now this. We are snake-bit in this regard.
