K-State was a great team, with Bob Boozer and Jack Paar. Kansas State won that game in part due to a ref counting while Oscar was about to shoot the second of two free throws with one second to go. If that shot is made, UC wins by one and goes on to the Final Four. Instead, Kansa State wins in OT. Cal goes on to win the national championship.
